Villa Mevania is a luxury and prestigious villa enjoying an absolute tranquility and a magical atmosphere a few steps away form Bevagna historic town. The villa, featuring a large garden of fruit and olive trees and a newly built infinity pool, is set in private commanding location with undisturbed and wide views over the Umbrian hills and vineyards, and the historic town of Assisi (Unesco site) in the distance.

Bevagna historic center is only a 15 minute walk - 800 metres away - this offers easy access to excellent and numerous restaurants, shops, museums, multiple services and interesting sites. A pedestrian path circling the middle age walls of the city allows for a nice stroll in a unique landscape. The main road leading to the Villa is a paved country road and is in a low traffic area.
The medieval town Bevagna, (whose Latin name is Mevania) has been designated “one of the most beautiful cities in Italy”, a designation awarded to only a handful of towns in Italy. If you are planning your vacation in June you'll be delighted to attend the Gaite medieval festival, a vibrant event that brings Bevagna back to the past, offering glimpses of Medieval life, shops and traditional food.
You are in the wine district of Umbria, hills covered by miles of vineyards around the historic town of Montefalco, (10 minutes drive) ideal destination for a wine tasting tour in the numerous and renowned wineries of the area. Come and taste the Umbrian recipes in the great restaurants of Bevagna and Montefalco, pairing the traditional food with the wines called "Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG" passito or secco, produced exclusively in this defined area around Montefalco.
In Umbria there are local food festivals, artistic events and historical pageants through the year, to make the stay memorable anytime, not just in the peak Summer months.
Some of Umbria’s most famous sites are a short drive away, in addition to Assisi Perugia, Spoleto, Montefalco, there are also Orvieto, Todi, Deruta, Marmore Falls, Sibillini Mountains national park and Lake Trasimeno. These are all within 15 to 60 minutes’ drive. To visit Rome and Florence/Tuscany it takes around 1 hour to 2 hours drive.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY
Villa Mevania has recently been totally restored to a high specification, inside and outside.
The pool is newly built, the garden and outdoor areas have been recently redesigned.
The property is characterized by bright and airy interiors with a combination of traditional elements - like terracotta floors and wooden beamed ceilings - with modern details and contemporary works of art, creating an ambience that you can see in the best magazines like Elle Decor or AD.

The main historical building is constituted by two floors that in the past, at different points in time, have been used as a manor and even as a country school.
Villa Mevania can comfortably accommodate 6 people in 3 suite-style apartments located in the main building and 2 people in the guest house. It makes 8 people in the villa + dependance and a maximum of 14 people, using the 3 sofa beds of the villa, ideal for children.
On the ground floor there is an entry hall, a large and stylish living room with a magnificent window framing a view on the valley, a kitchen and a bathroom.

The ground floor is completed by a large apartment, having its own private bathroom, living room with sofa bed, direct access to the garden and a separate entrance. This is the master Suite of the villa.

On the first floor of the villa there are two suite-style apartments, each one with a master bedroom, a bathroom and a cosy living room with flat screen tv. The living area of each apartment has a large, high quality sofa bed. If needed, this can turn into a double bed, providing extra sleep for 2 people.

In addition to this, always on the second floor, there is a common living room and small but complete kitchen, connecting the two apartments.

The fourth apartment is located in a stylish Dependance by the villa, which offers a contemporary and fully equipped kitchen (electric oven and microwave oven, induction hob), a living room with sofa bed and a bathroom.

All the double beds of the villa are king size beds (2 metres X 2 metres)

The villa and the dependance are fully air conditioned.

An infinity-edge salt water pool (5x10 metres) overlooking the exclusive landscape completes the luxury feel of the property.
The garden is completed by a large dining table shaded by a large umbrella, an area by the pool with sunloungers and outdoor shower and a barbecue area. The spacious garden has mature trees, lots of shaded areas, fuit trees and flowers. The garden is completely fenced.

Events, such as weddings or birthdays with participants (in addition to those that have rented the villa), may be held in the villa and the garden. Extra accommodation in a nearby B&B/Country house with pool, an event planner and catering services are available on demand (please enquire). An event fee will be requested, that will depend on the number of guests and type of event.
