The town boasts a thriving theatre and cinema, museums and art galleries and a small market twice a week. Some super restaurants and bars are within walking distance by crossing over the old bridge. Holy Island, Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles are an easy drive to the South. To the North and inland there are many stately homes and attractions like Paxton House, Manderston and Mellerstain. Visit the old smugglers house in Eyemouth or the new Jim Clark Motoring museum in Duns. It is easy to visit Scotland's capital city from Berwick Railway station as there are frequent trains to the city centre.
