Vacations and getaways at the Luisenhof Riding Stable in Paretz, between Potsdam and Berlin.
Arrive, take a deep breath, and enjoy country life.
Our vacation apartments are located right on the historic Luisenhof Paretz and combine comfortable living with the special atmosphere of a bustling equestrian farm. Just stepping outside, you’ll find horses, farm life, and plenty of nature—it’s all part of the experience.
Right in front of the apartment is a balcony terrace overlooking the farm—a lovely spot for your first cup of coffee in the morning or a relaxing end to the day. The apartments are equipped for self-catering and offer everything you need for a relaxing getaway.
Dogs are also very welcome here. Around Paretz, there are many beautiful trails for walks together through fields, meadows, and along the Havel River.
If you’d like to explore the area on two wheels, you can rent bicycles upon request and subject to availability. Shops for your daily needs are just a few minutes away.
What makes the Luisenhof special: You’re not just staying somewhere in the countryside—you’re right in the heart of a community where horses are part of everyday life. If you’re interested in horseback riding, please feel free to ask us. Children’s riding lessons and other horse-related activities can be arranged by request and subject to availability. A vacation with your own horse may also be possible upon prior arrangement.
Surroundings
Paretz is a small village with an exceptionally rich history.
The historic village center, much of which is designated as a historic landmark, is one of the most special places in the Havelland region. Paretz became famous primarily through Queen Luise and King Frederick William III, who used the village as a rural retreat. The Neoclassical Paretz Castle, the historic buildings, and the village layout—which has been preserved to this day—give Paretz a character all its own, one that is almost timeless.
Nature begins just a few steps from the Luisenhof. The Havel River is within easy reach and offers opportunities for walking, biking, and—in suitable spots—even swimming. Those simply seeking peace and quiet will find vast fields, water, and beautiful trails through the Havelland region all around Paretz.
At the same time, the Luisenhof is wonderfully centrally located for many day trips:
Potsdam, with Sanssouci Palace, the New Palace, Cecilienhof Palace, Babelsberg, and its famous parks and gardens, is easily accessible. Berlin is also an excellent destination for a day trip.
For families, Karl’s Adventure Village in Elstal is a popular destination. Those who prefer shopping can easily reach the Designer Outlet on the B5. There are also restaurants, cafés, and other places to visit around Ketzin and Paretz.
So you can watch the horses on the farm in the morning, explore Potsdam’s palaces during the day, and spend a relaxing evening by the Havel River or on your terrace.
As your hosts
We love horses, nature, and the special way of life in the countryside—and that’s exactly what we’d like to share with our guests.
For us, hospitality means more than just handing over a key. We want you to feel welcome and in good hands from the very first moment and to be able to tailor your stay exactly to your own preferences.
Whether you’re simply looking for some peace and quiet, want to experience farm life with your children, are traveling with your dog, are interested in horses, or want to explore Potsdam, Berlin, and the Havelland—we’re happy to help with personalized tips and ideas.
If your children would like to interact with horses, if you’re interested in children’s riding lessons, or if you ride yourself, please feel free to ask us. Depending on availability, we’ll work with you to see what’s possible.
We’re also happy to help with questions about bike tours, places to visit, restaurants, or shopping.
And if you simply want to enjoy some peace and quiet, that’s perfectly fine, too.
Because here, a vacation doesn’t have to be anything—it can be whatever you want it to be.
Arrive. Take a deep breath. Experience country life.
