I made a booking in Nov for a night in Jan for 3 people, the hotel didn't charge me right away, but all of a sudden at the end of Dec, with a different company name. The amount they charged me wasn't what was listed neither (CHF 15 higher), so I had no way to recognise the transaction. After crosschecking everywhere, even chatted with an agent on Expedia, I thought my card info was stolen, and so I had reported it to my bank, cancelled the card and tried to get a refund. Only to find out later, it was the hotel, but they didn’t even contact me.
When I made my booking, I had also added the breakfast option, but when I checked in, they told me no breakfast included and asked if I wanted to pay extra…after insisting firmly that the price I paid was including breakfast, hotel finally took a look at the system and confirmed that I was right….
Conclusion:
I had to pay extra CHF 20 for my new card, then had to pay CHF 275 AGAIN at arrival (instead of CHF 260 as mentioned on expedia), I was asked to pay for breakfast for 3 people AGAIN at arrival, and now one month after my stay, I still haven’t received the refund of the first CHF 275 that I thought it was a fraud…
