Beautiful House (But Issues)
The house is beautiful, and we met the owner, who is great. We had two issues, though.
First, the Master Bedroom is not available. The owner uses it, so it is locked. The other three bedrooms are small. The bunk beds are not in a bedroom; they are in a hallway. We had difficulty finding a place for everyone to sleep, even though the house is gigantic.
Second, working with Vacasa, the management company, was very difficult. The check-in time was 3:00 p.m., but I had an important Zoom call scheduled for 2:00 p.m., so I asked if I could check in early. The customer service representative said, "no." So, I asked to speak with a supervisor, who also said "no." I then asked to speak to someone higher, and I was declined. But, since I wasn't asking for a lot, I pressed. Finally, I was able to speak with the third higher-up. She was at least nice and understanding. She sent a message to the local manager, who reach out to me. "No problem" was her response, noting that the house was vacant, so it was available even two or three hours early.
Vacasa is so bureaucratic and full of red tape that it won't let its customer service representatives contact the local manager to make a simple accommodation for a customer. And, trying to speak with someone senior was like pulling teeth. I do not intend on renting from any house managed by Vacasa again.
In short, beautiful house, but it came with some issues.
