My husband booked the suite on-line. He had no idea that the room/suite was on the second floor with 1) NO ELEVATOR access. We are both in declining health and qualify for Handicap Stickers - so schlepping all our belongings up and down the stairs is a PROBLEM. The receptionist at the time of check-in (male) graciously offered to help carry our items. Husband decided he'd handle it. When we finally came back to our room, it was dark outside. Upon entering the room, 2) the light switch inside the door didn't work!!! Found a light switch around the corner in the bathroom. Later realized that there was 3) no courtesy lamp on the desk that should have responded to light switch upon entering! We were told by staff that the building was being remodeled, thus no lamp on desk. 4) There also was no lamp in the suite LR. 5)The TV in the LR didn't work. Next morning, staff had some cords replaced that allowed that extra TV to work. 6)When we came back to our room on the second night, our room keys didn't work for us or for a new guest down the hall. Husband and other guest had to go to the front desk for help. NO REASON FOR KEY PROBLEM WAS GIVEN. 7)The toilet in the bathroom was too low for us - it would be a good fit for my 4-yr-old grandchild! I have rheumatoid arthritis and I need a higher toilet due to knee pain. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I will never stay at your AmericInn site again and will hesitate staying at any AmericInn due to this experience!!!
