Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester
"The hotel was alright but charging nearly a tenner to park in their own car park is a joke. Good breakfast albeit another £30. Had to spend nearly the room cost again to park and eat. Could have got somewhere much nicer if I wanted to spend over £100 and eaten and parked for free. Wouldn't come ..."

"Well presented and quietly located bedroom in an adjacent building with all necessary amenities - tea/coffee maker, iron. Large and well equipped, modern bathroom. Spotlessly clean on arrival although, a minor grudge, no housekeeping on 2nd day. Very good dinner (duck) well presented. Delicious breakfast ..."

"The hotel has a kitchen and laundry, which is a real plus for anyone staying for a while. The location is great too – it's only a 5-minute walk to the town center. Plus, the owner is super nice and friendly.."

Birds Farm
"Really comfortable bed. Super clean. Great for a couple of nights stay. Close to the University to meet up with our daughter. Would recommend the Beth Chatto Garden near by for a visit."
