Trendy Loft w/ Energetic Outdoors - Dog Friendly!
Our cozy deck invites you into an open, light-filled space that is perfect for every occasion. With shops and restaurants less than two miles away, you can explore the charming town of Beaufort by foot, golf cart, bike or water! Embark on local adventures to Shackleford Banks & Harkers Island OR simply kickback to enjoy the spacious outdoors, grill, friendly locals, games and more! Plus your pooch can come too!
We bet you`ll find yourself planning a return trip before you`ve even left!
My husband and I purchased the property in November 2022. Since that time, we have completed some renovations and updates to make sure your experience staying with us is a positive one. We aim for 5 stars from all of our guests and always welcome your suggestions for improvements.
The Airbnb is located above a retail space, Dancing Baristas Cafe, so please be aware of this when booking your stay. There will be patrons visiting the downstairs area for early morning coffee and the business will be hosting occasional afternoon/evening events on site (wine tastings, live music, karaoke etc). The entire outdoor space is considered common area for all guests to enjoy and we hope you will participate in all of the fun being offered right outside your door! However, the upstairs area is reserved only for guests and you will not be sharing any indoor spaces. Have the best of both worlds! If you are looking to engage in the community, meet locals, feel some excitement and learn more about the area...you will love this spot! If you need a quiet space and a white noise maker won`t do the trick, we recommend you stay with another host.

Guests will have access to the upstairs loft (private entrance) as well as the outdoor spaces. Find yourself at home with a rocking chair front porch, outdoor shower (seasonal), outdoor patio furniture and gated doggy area. Reserved parking is available for Airbnb guests, located right at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the loft.
The coffee shop on the first floor opened in March 2023 and they would love to see your visiting faces! If you enjoy coffee, tea, Lotus drinks, amazing bagel sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, beer, wine and more...you`re just a few steps away from the best in town.
As your host, I invite you to settle in and make yourself at home. I will leave you with a list of nearby attractions, restaurants and emergency contacts. Should you have any questions or concerns, I will be available by phone during your stay. I live locally part-time and do my best to be available for guests in person if needed, but prefer to handle everything by phone when possible.
This neighborhood is situated on a dead end street off Live Oak, just as you come into Beaufort. This property is set back far enough that road noise does not tend to be an issue for guests but yet you have quick access to everywhere you need to go. Nearby you will find Piggly Wiggly, Ace Hardware, Food Lion, CVS Pharmacy, ABC Store and other necessities for your stay. Please remember that this Airbnb is located above a cafe serving coffee, beer, wine and a limited food menu. There will be some noise due to the operating hours of the business but we hope our guests embrace this fun, find it to be an amenity and get to know the other visitors that stop by downstairs during your stay!
Within 1.5 miles you`ll land in the Historic Downtown of Beaufort, where you`ll find bars, restaurants, ice cream, live music, ferry services and more. While some may consider walking downtown, most guests opt to hop on a bike or golf cart. Rent these locally and take advantage of the delivery services available so they`ll be waiting upon your arrival!
The home is within walking distance to a number of destinations in Beaufort. For those that prefer not to walk, you can rent bikes through various local businesses (Beaufort Bicycle, Hungry Town Tours, Bike Beaufort), call an Uber or Lyft OR rent a golf cart from Sinclair`s Golf Cars. Reach out in advance to coordinate delivery prior to your arrival!
Driving in downtown is simple but it can get congested during the summer season! Please be careful while riding bikes or golf carts, and be sure to understand the laws if you are renting transportation. Street parking is available throughout Beaufort - look for signs regarding paid parking areas.
The New Bern (EWN) airport is 38 miles/45 minutes from the home, which can vary depending on traffic.
PARKING - There are two dedicated spaces in the driveway to the left of the stairs for our Airbnb guests. Unless other arrangements have been approved by the host, please utilize this area for parking during your stay.
**We do not accept alteration requests inside the cancellation policy window.**
**Our property is maintained monthly by a local pest control service. This is all we can do to try to keep bugs outside where they belong but you may see an occasional pest get indoors. This is mother nature and we cannot change that, nor will we provide any refunds if pests are noticed.**
**Occasional interruptions to internet service may occur due to construction or weather. We apologize for the inconvenience if this happens during your stay but this is outside of our control.**

This property is dog friendly - this does not mean ALL dogs are welcome. Please note, dogs are NOT permitted unless approved by the Host prior to arrival. Age, size, breed and recent photo of the dog will be required for final approval along with a NON-refundable fee of $75 for up to 3 nights and $85 for 4+ nights. Host will consider approval of 2nd dog based on size/breed - additional $25 fee will apply. MAXIMUM of two approved dogs permitted - $150 penalty will be assessed if unapproved dog(s) are in property. Pet fees must be paid prior to arrival.
Approved dogs are not allowed on the furniture (this includes couch and bed!) and all garbage associated with the pet must be bagged and discarded prior to check-out. $75 penalty will be assessed if there is evidence of these rules not being followed - please do not ruin our flexibility with pets for future guests!! Absolutely NO “ruff housing” allowed on the property. Dogs must be crated while guest is away from the property and leashed while in shared spaces. Again, they must remain OFF the furniture or additional cleaning fees will be assessed. Guest will be assessed a $150 fee for each unauthorized pet on Premises - PLEASE request approval in advance to avoid this charge. If you have an allergy to dogs, please consider staying elsewhere as the home is not advertised as 100% pet free.
As a courtesy to the Guest, the Premises will be furnished with towels, linens and bedding. If these items go missing or are ruined during the reservation, the Guest will be assessed a replacement fee.
Smoking is not permitted inside the Premises. Smoking is allowed outside only but all cigarette butts must be safely disposed of to avoid additional cleaning charges. Please be respectful of this non-smoking home.
Host has the right to assess an additional cleaning fee due to extraordinary cleaning (over time allotted) as a result of Guest use. Additional $25 cleaning fee will be assessed for all reservations longer than 7 nights. This charge will be added after the reservation has been confirmed.
Items left by Guest will be returned for $10 plus shipping costs unless other arrangements can be made.
