Perfect location with ocean views for a great, relaxing vacation! This gorgeous, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath (with deluxe outdoor shower) home 10 years old is directly across the street from the ocean in Holgate/Beach Haven on Long Beach Island, New Jersey. You'll love the phenomenal ocean views, two covered decks, beach with lifeguards a few steps away (beach passes included), private/fenced outdoor patio for sunbathing and dining with BBQ grill along with fully-equipped kitchen (blender, toaster, 12 cup drip coffeemaker with Keurig, microwave, dishwasher, new oven/stove, frig), and plenty of off-street parking. Comfortably sleeps 11, has central air and heat, super comfy living room with recliners and gas fireplace, high speed Wi-Fi, 3 TVs (with Roku guest mode so you can easily access your favorite streaming services), and washer and dryer. You'll love the spectacular sunrises with your morning coffee from the master bedroom, on our decks or on the beach, and the extraordinary sunsets just a quick walk to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge or at the opposite end of the street by the bay. The bay is at the end of the block, and has easy access for kayaks and canoes into Little Egg Harbor. There are tennis/pickleball and basketball courts overlooking the bay. You'll also be just a short bike ride or drive from numerous restaurants, shopping, coffee spots, outdoor amusement and water parks, and ice cream!

- Sleeps 11 comfortably (maximum 11 guests); 1 king and 4 queen beds, ocean views from the master bedroom
- Living room features two recliners (good luck not falling asleep on them), a comfy couch with pullout sofabed with posturepedic that sleeps 2, and a gas fireplace (with easy on/off remote)
- Bathrooms: 2 full bathrooms with shower, one half bath with toilet, plus convenient outdoor shower -- with rain shower head combo w/hand held attachment and shower jets for your back -- great to use after a fun day at the beach
- Kitchen: fully-equipped (blender, toaster, 12 cup drip coffeemaker with Keurig, microwave, dishwasher, new oven/stove, frig)
- First floor features a bedroom with private entrance (note: need to go outside to access the rest of the house from the first floor), half bath, mini frig, freezer, and is a great space for the kids to hang and play games with a ping pong table, basketball game and darts -- and give the adults some alone time! There is also a cornhold game for your use!
- Private outdoor patio with BBQ grill, perfect for sunbathing and dining with the family and friends

- High speed Wi-Fi (password on the router under the TV in the living room)

Beautiful home in Holgate with great access to the beach (across the street) and bay. Super relaxing stay, with a house that has everything you need for a week at the beach whether you’re with a group of friends or with children. Loved grabbing coffee in nearby Beach Haven and reading books on the top deck with views of the ocean. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts and home to spend a great week on LBI. Would highly recommend!

Howie and Caroline were wonderful hosts. They were extremely responsive. The house was spotless and the kitchen had all the necessary items needed. The a /c was perfect.The house also had outside areas which were very comfortable. The outdoor shower was outstanding. I would definitely return.

The Waterman’s are great hosts. They communicate often and ensure you have everything you need so you can kick back and enjoy your vacation. You can’t beat the location. The house is clean, the beds are comfortable and it includes everything you need for the beach and living. This is a great place to stay.

Comfortable home with wonderful views!

We stayed in Holgate for a little over 2 weeks and enjoyed our time at the house. The home has great decks with the highest deck having a beautiful view of the ocean. The outdoor space was awesome with a firepit and four Adirondack chairs and a fully fenced in side yard with table, bar, grill and two loungers. Quick access to the garage from the fenced in space gets you to a half bath and many entertainment options such as ping pong and a shooting basketball carnival like game. They also have a mini fridge and freezer in that area l, making outdoor entertaining super convenient. At the end of the road there is a tennis court, basketball court and small playground for the kids right on the bay. We used that often and truly enjoyed it. Bowkers is a great little deli with good sandwiches and other items making for a very convenient quick trip just walking a few blocks up the road. Beach access is almost directly across the street and is on a life guarded beach in season. I can’t say enough about the owners as they were so easy to work with, incredibly responsive and truly care about your experience being a positive one. The home was clean and well appointed with linens, shower towels and tons of good beach towels and a lot of very good beach chairs! The outdoor shower is a must with back jets! Thank you to the Watermans for opening their home to us!

Amazing and helpful!

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect and the spot itself was absolutely beautiful. The hosts were amazing—so kind and accommodating. We ran out of toilet paper and they not only dropped off more right away, but also brought a bottle of wine (which they definitely didn’t have to do!). Such a thoughtful touch. We’d definitely come back again. Thank you for everything!

Family Fun - MDW Stay

Our family had a wonderful experience. The property is just as described by the host and the countless other reviews. 3 floors with plenty of space, and in a great location. You are 5 minutes from restaurants and activities in town. Across the street from the beach. The host has plenty of beach equipment for you to use, and games for kiddos adults to stay busy.

Perfection

We immediately felt at home in this beautiful and well appointed house directly across from the beach. Literally everything you need for a family gathering or couples escape is at the ready including all the practical things (kitchen, bath, laundry, etc.) along with a dizzying array of games and beach gear - including beach tags. The courtyard with grill and a large table, and the fire pit out front were very handy. Everything was spotless inside and out. The location is a huge plus, just steps from the beach as well as a brief stroll to the serenity of the Edward Forsythe wildlife refuge. With a short 7-10’minute drive you can also enjoy the shops and restaurants in Beach Haven. Above all Howie and Caroline were on top of every detail and were excellent hosts. We will be back and are so appreciative of the opportunity to stay in the comfort of the Waterman Beach House.

Wonderful accommodations and a great location

Can't say enough about this rental. Second year we have stayed at the location and once again it did not disappoint. The accommodations are wonderful with large bedrooms, beautiful beach views and can't beat the beach across the street. Great communication with property manager and check in / check out was so convenient. Rental was clean and included many extras including beach supplies (blankets, chairs, towels, boogie boards, etc...). Highly recommend this location and will be back.

Had a great vacation with family! House was as advertised! So close to beach access. The Waterman's made it so easy with everything you could need for a vacation. Seriously, keep your beach gear at home, they have EVERYTHING! Would definetely stay again!

Fantastic Family Getaway

Howard’s house was great. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. The house was approximately a block from 2 beach entrances. It was perfect for our family and what we needed. The view from the porch was very nice. Everyone sat out there every morning before heading to the beach. We made a lot of memories and looking forward to making more in LBI.

Great first trip to LBI

We did not know what to expect of this vacation destination, having never been to LBI before; we are glad to have selected Holgate, which appeared more tranquil and serene than other neighborhoods, there was a great deli called Bowker's we could walk to, and the house is only about 2.5 miles from lots of fun activities/good shopping in Beach Haven (we also visited the lighthouse at Barnegat on a rainy day - one could easily stay in Holgate and Beach Haven the whole week). The house worked well for our multigenerational group. Level one/ground level is a garage with games and excellent beach gear, a half bath, and a bedroom with two beds and window a/c (we did not use this sleeping area); level two was a kitchen/LR, full bath with shower, and bedroom, plus deck with comfortable furniture that faced east/the ocean (it got hot there in the morning but was lovely from lunchtime on); level three was two large bedrooms (one queen, one king), washer/dryer, and Jack & Jill bath with tub/shower, plus another large, eastern-facing deck with great furniture - from which you can see the ocean.

Beach week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family beach week in this lovely home. The neighborhood was quiet but only a short car ride to restaurants/entertainment areas with a great local ice cream parlor (the Boardwalk) very close. Check in was simple and easy and the owners supplied sheets,towels, beach wagon, umbrellas and chairs that made our days so comfortable!

I have been vacationing on LBI since the 1960’s. I have never stayed in the most southern end in Holgate. I loved it!! It was quite, the house was very clean, well stocked and did not disappoint. Would definitely rent this home again. The owners are very attentive and very helpful in answering questions.

Great house, great hosts

LBI has always been our favorite place for family summer vacations. Went every year for years with our kids and returning with them and the grandkids is a dream come true. This was our 2nd year staying at this house. We stayed 1 week in 2021 and loved it so much we did 2 weeks in 2022 and have already booked 2 weeks for 2023. The house has everything you need for a great vacation. Anything you need for the beach is available, from toys for the kids to umbrellas and chairs and beach passes. The house is completely equipped for cooking, games and sitting outside on the decks or the fenced in patio. 2 minutes walk to the beach that was never over-crowded and a short drive to Beach Haven stores and restaurants. Nice quiet area out of the busy rush of Beach Haven yet a 3 minute drive to anything you might need or want to do. Hated leaving but already counting down to when we will return. Again, thanks to terrific hosts who were available at anytime and sincerely concerned with their guests happiness in their home.
