"It's a lovely clean and bright studio in the heart of Bayreuth, a 15 minute walk from the train station and less than a minute from the colourful and lively Maximilianstraße. If you're prepared to self-cater (and the local supermarkets are excellent), then it's a bargain. What stops it from my giving 5 stars? Not much.

The fire alarm went off for over an hour and nobody came to either check to see if the hotel was literally on fire or simply turn it off. Needless to say, IT...

Check-in was painful simply because there had been a technological issue which meant that Expedia were not passing on my messages to the host; this meant that I thought the host was very rude and I was getting panicky before the check-in, and probably the host was thinking I was unresponsive. Anyhow, when I was able to connect with them the communication was excellent and extremely helpful. The apartment is small but...
