Luxurious Lake Superior Estate with Outdoor Hot Tub

This luxurious Lake Superior retreat is the perfect base for enjoying all there is to do in beautiful Bayfield and a perfect launching point for exploring the Apostle Islands! Every detail of this home and grounds has been carefully designed to take advantage of sweeping views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands.

For larger groups, the adjacent guest house which sleeps 6 can be made available upon request. Please inquire for rates.

Featured in Landscape Magazine for "One of a Kind Landscape Design in the 5 Great Lakes Region", the property boasts a lakeside grotto reclaimed from the historic brownstone quarries of the 1880's.

*Each of the 4 bedrooms has its own en suite bathroom and Lake Superior views.

* Kids love the bunk room directly off the lower level family room, with its two hand-hewn log bunk beds and futon- it's like being at camp (but with high end mattresses and bedding).

*A fully equipped open plan kitchen allows you to cook while staying connected to friends and family in the main level family room.

One of our favorite things to do is roast s’mores by a lakeside bonfire at the grotto. The shoreline is rocky and perfect for watching the crashing waves, but not suitable for swimming. However there is a great beach just a few miles down the road.

A local caretaker is available to answer any questions you have about the property, or provide recommendations for local attractions. Bayfield is known for a variety of outdoor activities and water sports as well as orchards, berry farms, wineries, and outdoor theater. We’ve compiled an extensive list of recommendations for things to do in the area and would be happy to help you plan your activities.

Daughter and family used downstairs rooms. They enjoyed hot tub and covered deck workedwell during rain.We were upstairs bedroom Upstairs views were outstanding.Going down steps and enjoy sound of waves while enjoying g moss on rocks was a highlight.

Could be a great place, nice gardens.

Cleanliness was a problem. Started by finding hair ties all over the house. On the floor, on the furniture and in bathrooms. Carpeting was filthy and lots mouse droppings in the laundry room. Mouse traps all over, which needed to be picked up as we had children with us. Items that had been left behind under beds. Covers for outdoor furniture were moldy and outdoor furniture downstairs were faded and dirty. Some dirty dishes in the cupboards. Downstairs TV wasn't working properly. We were told the whole entertainment system was due for replacement the next week. Fire pit on the shore was unusable due to unstable rock. Only seating for 4 at the dining room table, not helpful with ten guests. Important items missing from kitchen. A lot of delayed maintenance in and on this home. Management was very responsive, but we spent over 1000. a night and it certainly was not worth the cost. A plus the gardens are very lovely. Good location. I think that the owner and management will change cleaning crew and make improvements. Just inquire first.

Beautiful home located on lake with great accommodations. Only issue-which is minor-home is a little tech heavy. We did enjoy our stay. Home was very clean, kitchen well stocked, roomy bedrooms and living/gathering areas.

Beautiful property!

Our group had 2 families; 4 adults and 5 kids. We all had a wonderful time. Lots of space both indoors and out. The kiddos loved the bunk room. Beautiful view of the lake and easy access to Bayfield. We hope to return someday.

This estate is by far one of our favorite finds. Tucked away and private views of Lake Superior that are breathtaking. Grounds meticulously cared for and designed that makes you feel like you are walking in a magical paradise from a movie or a dream. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Lake Superior View. “Bayfield”

Spectacular view of Lake Superior from many rooms and porch. Spacious, peaceful grounds to walk around home, and down to shoreline. Comfortable accommodations! A few miles away from all the great experiences of Bayfield WI; Apostle Islands, waterfalls, hiking trails, apple orchards, good dinning, delicious whitefish and trout! And Ojibwa culture.

Amazing View

Moose Lodge is a mix of funky and modern, but modern where it counts. For example, a speedy WiFi network for remote work. We were only five but this wonderful property could easily host ten. The deck overlooking Lake Superior has an incredible view; a great place to hang out with a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise over the lake. The lower level has a large TV and hot tub just outside - what fun! Walking across the back yard to the cliff and down the stairs to the fire pit and lakeshore helped us appreciate all the landscaping, plants, and flowers. Our only issue was a grill that couldn’t get past 375 degrees, not enough to cook our steaks in a timely fashion. However, the modern kitchen easily solved that problem.

Excellent for a family Anniversary celebration

We celebrated my parents 65th wedding anniversary and this home was perfect for our family. We loved the outdoor space and the gardens and views of Lake Superior were spectacular. At the end of the day we enjoyed the hot tub and bonfires. Check-in was easy and Deanne was extremely responsive and helpful with the questions we had. I highly recommend and we would love to come back again next time we are in the Bayfield area.

Summer Getaway in Bayfield

Beautiful landscaping and deck. Loved the bridge and pathway down to water and fire pit. Every turn had a new surprise. The home had a well equipped kitchen. There was a bathroom for every bedroom. All six people said the beds were comfortable. When does that happen? One bathroom floor was actually heated! The house is spacious allowing you to spread out. The house was close to downtown Bayfield. It’s not far but it is not really walking distance. It’s a short drive though. I hope to have an opportunity to return some day.

Great spring break stay

We had a wonderful time staying at the house! We came for spring break and it ended up snowing while we were there, but it was the perfect place to hunker down and watch the snow fall. Beautiful view and very well maintained house and property! I would love to come back when the weather is better to see all the lovely landscaping! The on-site staff was very helpful with whatever questions we had. We liked that the four bedrooms each have an en suite bathroom and were separate from one another to give our large group some privacy when needed. Highly recommend!

They thought of everything!

We had such an amazing trip to this Lake Superior Estate. Being at the beginning of spring, there was still a fair amount of snow on the ground. But that didn’t stop us from having a great trip! This house gave us everything we needed, including that amazing hot tub overlooking the water! And the cool fire pit right by the lake. There were numerous times over our course of stay that we commented “this host thought of everything!” From simple items as kitchenware to the heated floor in the lower level, it truly was a grand stay on Lake Superior. Thank you for sharing your spectacular home with us and we hope to be back in warmer months!

Absolutely incredible!!

The views of Lake Superior from every room in this home were incredible. The gorgeous gardens were stunning! The home itself was beautiful and perfect for us - everyone had their own bathroom. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We had everything we could possibly need. The family, hostess and caretaker were so helpful and easy to communicate with. We just had an awesome stay and hated to leave. We will be back!

Stunning Property… like no other!

Look no further. We spent 4 nights here to enjoy sightseeing around Bayfield area on motorcycles! First of all, we were impressed on how Deanne offered the garage to store all of our bikes at night to stay out of rain and morning dew! Wonderful bonus! It was perfect for 6 couples for the 4 bedrooms in main house and the 2 additional suites. Each had own private bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. We used the outdoor grill and flattop cooktop every night! Wait until you see the secret firepit and garden area right on the shore. The steps to get there were a great way to capture the beauty as you walked to the area. We used that every night with supplied firewood!! We will definitely return here!

Great Family Getaway

We had three generations and this beautiful home which worked out great for all of us! Two bedrooms with bathrooms on main level and two bedrooms with bathrooms on lower level. So that meant everyone had enough space and older ones didn’t have to climb stairs. Two large patios on each level with a great view of Lake Superior. Kitchen had of plenty of utensils, cookware and spices. Outdoors we had two fire rings available, a small hot tub and well landscaped yard and garden. We spent a lot of time outside playing games on the yard and having conversations on the deck, bring plenty of bug spray for mosquitoes! Overall, a wonderful stay and great memories made!
