Lovely cabin

Beautiful little cabin, perfect for a couple nights! It was a little bit difficult to find but worth the drive. Lovely scenery and the cabin has everything you need for your stay. Definitely would stay again!

Lovely little cabin, very well designed to make the most of the space. Had everything you need from.firelighters to frying pan.

Love this place!

Perfect few days in a very quiet and comfortable setting. Sitting on the porch in the sunshine, listening to horses neighing, a cockerel in the distance and a babbling stream, life could not get much better. Small but comfortable with everything you need for a great break. Close to Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Woolacome so a short drive away from shops, restaurants etc

Second stay at sunset cabins, great value for money and very convenient. Loved watching the horses in the nearby field. Very relaxing place! Only thing I would say is that some basic instructions for the combi oven would be helpful as we were never sure if we had the right setting! 😂 and perhaps some softer pillows as they were on the hard side. Personal choice of course. Overall def come back!

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE

I was away for work and my fiancees nan had passed away the day before my travel so she joined me for a few days on this trip. The first evening was lovely and sunny and we went and watched the sunset and had tea out, when returning to the cabin we found the other cabins were now hosting guests. We had a nice evening and went to sleep, we were then woken at 5am by the most horrific argument we had ever heard that went on for a full 90 minutes between the crack heads that had booked the other two cabins. We contacted the owner via email that lunch time and they did not respond until the next day. I then called the owner because i had left my fiancee at the cabin and she was scared of the people in the oter cabins as they kept walking passed out cabin and making awkward eye contact. The owner then responded and offered us 20% off a future stay this was poor as we would make sure we did not stay in any of this owners properties again. The cabin was in a lovely setting however the cobwebs all round the ceiling and the toenail clippers in the cupboard under the sink surrounded by what looked like mould were all features we would have rather not been left for us to find. The stench of weed for 3 days was not ideal either coming from the other cabins. I did not stay the full 4 nights i had booked as was extremely worried about staying there alone. OH AND THE MICROWAVE LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN ON FIRE! The fire still had ash in from previous guests and the kettle was full of limescale

Disappointing

We chose to stay here for a different adventure, rated 10stars in hotels.com. -Beddings were wrinkly with make up stains. Mattress not comfortable. -toilet seat is broken. -very mouldy plates so I have to wash all of them, including the bowls and utensils. -booked for 3 people but they only provided 2 towels. -only 1 toilet roll provided (we stayed 2nights). They only provided like 3 small pieces of wood in the cabin. We weren’t planning to use it but the small heater in the corner of the cabin was not enough(it was like 4 to 5 deg that night) to warm the whole place so we used the wood on our first night. When we saw the housekeeper the next day we asked if we can have more wood and she said there’s a small bin outside and there should be some there so we went and checked but found only 1 piece so she said she will tell the owners(nothing was mentioned about we should buy it ourselves). We went out and came back around 4-5pm and the bin was still empty apart from the small wood that was already there in the morning. I emailed them and I was told they don’t provide wood and that there is a small heater. I said it’s ok but maybe they should include that in their accommodation details, somebody else sent me a reply saying that there’s a brochure under the wood burner saying that wood is not provided but they usually leave some to start us off. Unfortunately I didn’t see this brochure so we were not aware. Definitely won’t go back.
