The cosy living area is hidden away and has a comfy corner sofa and a Smart TV and the kitchen area is open to the dining room with its lovely wood burner. Bishops Tawton is a small village with its own very popular thatched pub within walking distance. It is less than 2 miles from Barnstaple town centre, North Devon’s regional capital and ancient river-port town at the lowest crossing point of the River Taw flowing into the Bristol Channel. At the lovely waterside village of Instow, 7 miles to the west, you can enjoy the quiet inlet with sand dunes and a sandy beach along with a selection of pubs, restaurants and an excellent delicatessen. Across the water is Appledore with its traditional fisherman’s cottages and quaint village streets to simply wander around and take in the surroundings.
