★Welcome to the OSPREY NEST SUITE★

Ideally located just off Historic 6A (The Old King's Highway) in a picturesque section of Barnstable, this light and bright studio suite, with separate entrance & deck, is the perfect spot to enjoy your relaxing Cape Cod getaway. Located just a mile outside of charming Barnstable Village, and a stroll away from both a small quiet bayside beach and the fabulous trails of the MA Audubon's Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, it is also within a quick 10 minute drive to one of the most happening towns on the Cape, Hyannis.

This newly updated suite is very private; located above our home. There are outdoor steps leading to its own separate entrance and little deck. It is well appointed with a small nicely equipped kitchen (Mini fridge, Elect. Cooktop, Microwave, Toaster Oven, Coffee Maker, etc.), great built-in table with banquette seating, comfy queen size bed with a wonderful reclaimed wood bedframe made by a New England craftsman, twin size sleeper sofa, wall mounted TV, and two closets with plenty of storage. The nicely sized full bath has a walk-in shower, along with a washer & dryer. A Mini Split AC/Heat System keeps the suite cool when needed in the Summer and warm and cozy in the Winter.

With loads of windows, and a fabulous bird's-eye view above the secluded backyard, the Osprey Nest is sure to become your favorite Cape Cod escape!

Please note:
The Osprey Nest Suite is located in the back of the house in the upper level. To access its private entrance and deck there are 16 wooden outside steps to climb.(see photos)

Lovely, immaculate, private, quiet, nicely appointed, roomy and quaint. Perfect for a getaway. Very comfortable bed, pull out sofa, convenient washer and dryer, nice kitchenette and cozy breakfast nook. Ideal mid cape location just off 6A. On a scale of 1-10, this is an 11! Would definitely book again.

We loved our stay at this property. This was an upstairs apartment above the host home. It was clean and decorated beautifully. The bed was plush and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The location was 15 minutes away from the dock where we could board a boat to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. I highly recommend it.

We had a delightful stay at the Osprey Nest Suite and would return again. Hosts Carol and Gene have thought of every amenity! This spotless property is located just off of Route 6A and is convenient to both the upper and outer Cape. We loved the compact yet functional kitchen, being able to have coffee and cook breakfast in the morning and then venturing out for the day. We had seafood at Sesuit Harbor and in Wellfleet and Sandwich and picked up lobsters and oysters at Fisherman's View (Sandwich) to bring home to PA. A big plus was the washer and dryer because we were visiting for a family wedding on Mayflower Beach/Chapins Bayside and then I flew out for a work trip - the conveniences provided made it easy to pack for two different travel experiences. We can't wait to return to the Osprey Nest! Thanks Carol and Gene. We hope you enjoy the honey from our PA bees!

Cape Weekend Getaway

The property was a perfectly sized studio apartment for a weekend getaway to cape cod. Well located and an easy drive to other cities on the cape, plus walking distance from the water. Highly recommend.

Absolutely LOVED our little getaway here. Carol thought of literally every single detail imaginable…down to supplies you didn’t know you needed like tape and scissors. Being able to come to the cape and not have to rent or buy beach chairs and an umbrella was such plus. Beach towels and a cooler as well made it even better. Private driveway was lovely. The stars seen from the porch were beautiful. Laundry machines were great. It was in such a great location, close to multiple beaches and Hyannis Main Street. A very honorable mention to the standing fan…I can’t sleep without a fan and let me tell you-what a life saver!! Would 10/10 recommend staying here. I would stay again. Thank you so much!

Cozy, comfortable and centrally located

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Osprey Nest. Our hosts Carol and Gene were amazing. Communication was very quick and clear. The studio apartment was very clean and comfortable and offered many amenities including washer and dryer. The property was centrally located and it was very easy to navigate all over Cape Cod. The deck and yard were private and quiet. We would definitely return to the Cape and to this VRBO property. If I could give this review 10 stars, I would.

Exquisite!

My husband and I had the perfect getaway-the Osprey Nest Suite was wonderful. Cozy, relaxing, full of charm and just as lovely as pictured. Any amenity you could think of was available. Carol and Gene were great hosts; they communicated with us promptly and made our very first Vrbo experience a splendid one! We are already checking our calendars for our next stay!

Perfect

The hosts had anything and everything you could think of needing. Being a far away traveler means needing a lot of things you don’t think about. They were very attentive and timely to my messages. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean. This was the coziest place I’ve ever stayed at. I typically don’t sleep well on the road, and I slept great here. This was a great central location to all of the places we wanted to visit. We also booked a fishing trip that left out of Millway beach (it was very close by). Highly recommend the buttercup for breakfast! I was in town for business the first half of the trip and my husband came the second half. He was just as pleased as I was. Thank you for a great stay.

Perfect Place To Stay

Ideal base to explore Cape Cod

The Osprey Nest is situated in a quiet road. Amenities such as restaurants and supermarkets are only a short drive away. The property itself is well equipped and had literally everything we needed from washing up liquid to beach chairs. The owners responded to emails instantly. A fabulous property which we definitely return to on our next visit to Cape Cod.
