"Doesn't look like the room has ever been cleaned. The room was musty and smelled off. There was blood on the bathroom door. I was told our room was remodeled but I've seen furniture from the garbage that was cleaner."

"We recently stayed at The Read House hotel in Chattanooga and were very disappointed by how a serious cleanliness issue was handled. Ou our first evening, we found a live cockroach in our room. We killed it and immediately called the front desk. Someone to pick up the tissue with the bug, without saying a word and left. "The view from our corner room was fantastic, the pool was nice too. The property is walkable to tons of restaurants and attractions. But lets talk about the BREAKFAST. Im staying here again simply for the breakfast. Got it via expedia for $6 a person, which was a deal vs what you'd pay at the property. Easily worth $20 a person. The staff was wonderful, even threw in free Starbucks with breakfast totally unprompted. This particular hotel is doing a great job."
