Luxury on 100+ acres, hot tub, privacy, high style in the Baraboo Bluffs

This is a true country estate. Luxurious home with lots of amenities on over 100 acres. Orchards, berries and acres of mowed paths through stunning wildflower prairie plus a stable where our peacocks roost in the rafters. They are free range and will come visit on the deck. They even get on the roof, one bent our spire by sitting on it!
Now place this private gem less than 15 minutes from Devil’s Lake and 5 minutes from Devil’s Head ski resort!
This is our family home that we lovingly built over 2 decades. However, the kids are grown and I’ve taken a job out of state. Rather than sell it, we’re allowing others to enjoy it for vacation!

The house has luxurious furnishings and finishes. There’s plenty of amazing log cabins with rustic charm in this area but this isn’t one of them. This is much more high style and drama, just look at the massive fireplace!

This home is built for gatherings, a large open great room and for a bit of cozy privacy - a library with coffered ceiling and stained glass.

There are 4 upstairs bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A master suite with a king size bed, walk-in closet, soaking tub, and 3 head/2 jet shower. Then 3 additional bedrooms, each with something special. There’s a tiny room with a bed-nook that still holds a queen size bed and has good natural light and a walk in closet. That room has built-in speakers and LED lights in the bed area. There’s a large corner room with windows on 2 walls, a queen bed and a sitting area. The closet for this room is right outside the door and has a pretty piece of stained glass above the door. Then there’s a room with a twin-over-full bunk bed. The funky secret to this room is that one of the walls has metallic paint and will hold magnets. Bring some along and surprise your kids! (They need to be reasonably strong like refrigerator magnets.) There is one bathroom for these rooms with a typical bathtub/shower combo but the natural light in there is beautiful.

In addition, there is an extra room in the basement with a queen bed. There’s no windows in there so make sure you set an alarm! We call it “the cave” and the sleeping is wonderful because it’s cool and dark. We’ve added a space heater in case it’s too chilly for some.

The lower level also contains the game room with an additional streaming TV, pool table, ping pong table and sauna. There’s some cardio equipment as well if anyone just has to get in a workout.

The deck is massive. There is dining seating for 12 as well as couch and comfy chair seating in 2 different locales. A year round hot tub is nestled into the deck and is a fabulous place to star gaze. Adjacent to the deck is a fire pit with chairs all around.

The property is expansive. It’s over a hundred acres of woods and wildflower prairie. We’ve cut trails through the prairie so please go strolling!
There’s also berry bushes in the front of the property and an orchard in the back. You’re welcome to pick whatever is ripe!

Amount of guests is currently set at 8 but it is open to discussion. Dogs may be allowed with an additional fee and on a case-by-case basis.

This was a fantastic property. our family spent the week over Christmas skiing at Cascade and Devil Head and had a perfect home to come back to. we had 3 meals a day in a kitchen that was well stock with all the tools we needed for our meals. bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. host was polite and welcoming and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. perfect Christmas vacation home.
