Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the spacious deck overlooking the Atlantic or head down your private beach access to the best shelling beach on Bald Head. As you step into this oceanfront beauty, you are greeted by a wall of windows looking out to the fabulous private pool and the sweeping ocean views beyond. This traditional home provides an open floor-plan living area with soaring vaulted ceilings and plenty of space for the entire family. The gourmet kitchen features beautiful marble counters and stainless appliances-including a gas range, double ovens, and a beverage fridge. Enjoy your meal in one of the dining areas-the more formal dining table comfortably seats eight while the built-in nook accommodates an additional six. You can also eat at the table on the pool deck or at the table in the screen porch.

    The three suites on the main level each house their own private full bath. The first bedroom features a King and a generous walk-in closet. The second is furnished with two roomy Queens and the third is a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds and a single. Make sure to check out the amazing view greeting you at the top of the steps, where sliding doors open onto a private deck offering panoramic seascapes. The large King Master suite upstairs delivers plenty of privacy. The spa-like Master bath also pampers with its marble his and hers sinks, a soaking tub and a huge shower.

    If being outside is your pleasure, the large swimming pool's oversized deck affords fantastic water vistas and great sunning opportunities. Plus, there's plenty of seating. For those looking for a little shade, there is not only a screened porch but also a covered deck and a covered patio-all, again, with ample seating.

    Want something a little sandier? Take a short walk out on your private beach boardwalk to the warm sands and inviting waters of the Atlantic! This is the perfect spot on the Island to watch the ships go by or relax and take in the gorgeous sunsets.

Wow! Great house, we have been visiting BHI for over 30 years & Poolside Paradise is the at the top of the list of homes we have stayed in! Clean, well equipped, great location, amazing view! We will definitely rent this house again!

Beautiful View and Home

POSITIVE: The home was beautiful and the kitchen well appointed for a beach rental. It was clean, comfortable and had gorgeous views. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch. We have rented for 10 plus years on Bald Head and this home was very peaceful and quiet.NEGATIVE: Blinds randomly did not work in lower bedrooms. Owner’s belongings filled up dresser drawers in one bedroom and closets also had random furniture/decorations (notes left not to move it), no pantry for kitchen (locked for owner), so pantry items had no where to be stored. Bathroom mirror already ripped from drywall left set at an angle against wall and hole remained behind it. Told and not asked, that routine maintenance would be done early in the morning without much warning. It was understandable that maintenance would need to be done, just more warning and asking/not telling, since we were paying for the home would have been nice.

Peaceful

We went with 3 generations to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. The views, the salt water pool, the beach, the golf carts and the turtle reserve was amazing for all! We had plenty of space for the 10 of us. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials. 2 things after talking to property manager were taken care of promptly the youngest who is 8 said we should turn this is to an annual tradition!

Great home

The home is beautiful and we loved it. I'm only giving feedback to make it better, but these are small things. 1). Major ant problem in kitchen. They're getting in through the window and would be great if something could be done about them. 2). The hairdryer in the upstairs bedroom is ridiculous and possibly dangerous. Needs to be replaced. 3) the blinds in the downstairs bedrooms didn't work. We submitted a request to fix them shortly after we arrived (via the app) but no one responded. Hope this helps!

Incredible views

The location and views from the property cannot be beat! We had 2 families with 4 kids total. We had plenty of space for all us and were able to spread out easily. The convenience of having a pool at the house and direct access to the beach were game changers. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this property.

What an unforgettable stay at this Poolside Paradise on Bald Head! The group can’t stop raving about it! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and comfort of this stunning home. The layout is spacious and well-thought-out, providing plenty of room for our group to relax and enjoy.The real showstopper is the pool area—a true paradise! We spent countless hours lounging by the water, soaking up the sun, listening to Haitian music and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The pool is pristine, with plenty of seating and shaded areas, perfect for both morning coffee and evening cocktails.The location is ideal—just a quick golf cart ride to the beach and the charming shops and restaurants. We loved exploring the island’s scenic trails, pristine beaches, and iconic lighthouse, all easily accessible from the house.The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. The house was clean, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home.If you’re looking for the perfect mix of luxury, relaxation, and island adventure, Poolside Paradise House is it. We are extremely grateful to the gracious hosts for allowing us to stay. We hope to be back someday! Highly recommend!

Beautiful home, nice stay!

We had a nice time on BHI! This home was immaculate! So clean and so nicely updated. Gorgeous beach views. Our kids enjoyed the ocean and beach as well as the pool and the stunning views from every angle of the house. The house is huge and perfect for large families and entertaining. We stayed for spring break, and had a fabulous time. The rental staff was prompt to respond and check-in/out was so easy. Cons: The tram to the ferry was late on our departure day. Several restaurants and activities were closed due to “staffing issues” which was unnecessarily frustrating for a family with active children. We stayed mid April.

Well let me begin by saying that my wife started her journeys to Bald Head in 1977 as a young child, the tradition continued through the years and when she and I got together my journeys to Bald Head started in 1995. Over these years, most consisted of staying at a property owned by my in-laws, then venturing out on our own. We have been fortunate enough to “upgrade” our choice each year and this property by far has been the best we’ve had the pleasure to stay at. A nicely appointed, spacious and dream house floor plan proved just the right formula for one of the best getaways we’ve ever had on the island. And the pool, ‘Poolside Paradise’ couldn’t be a better name. We typically do a lot of things on the island. This trip, we barely left the house except to food shop. We thank you and look forward to a planned extended stay next year.

Thank you! This has been the most relaxing 2 weeks of our life. We love BHI and have been vacationing there for more than 20 years, and this house is by far the best that we have ever rented. Grandparents came from Arizona to join us for a few days during the trip, and everyone had exactly what was needed for the perfect vacation. The kitchen is gorgeous and well-appointed, but the outdoor spaces were where we tried to spend most of our time. We spent most evenings on the upstairs balcony watching the million dollar sunsets and listening to the ocean. The pool was such a treat, especially for the kids, and we enjoyed many hours of fun as a family. We hope this home will stay on the WWP rental program for many years to come, because we can't wait to come back!

this was a wonderful week. the house is first rate but you might want to have the following small problems addressed. first, the pool speakers don’t work. Second, the pool umbrella is missing a pin that prevents it from being used. Third, the outside outlet by the table is not working. That made it more difficult to bring speakers out by the pool. Still a very nice home that we can recommend withour hesitation.

September 2021 - Poolside Paradise

I have been coming to BHI for 22 years now, and this is by far the best home I have ever stayed in. The house, the deck, the views, the beach access, the secluded driveway, all of it was truly great. The amenities in this home are excellent, especially the kitchen and the master bedroom, and the living room area has been a joy to work from during the days with the views of the channel. Thank you WWP for giving such a great location this week, and the weather could not have been more perfect!

At night, the light house across the water blink 4 times every 6 seconds into the master and there is no way you can get away from it. The hurricane shades are off track so they are useless!

We’re coming to the end of our stay and have had a really great time and enjoyed being at this house immensely. We’ve been visiting Bald Head for many years and without doubt this has been the best home in terms of location, comfort, style and amenities we’ve stayed at. WWP have proven themselves to be professional and helpful; fortunately we didn’t have the need to call on them for anything other than a minor TV cable issue which was dealt with quickly. They made the booking and check in process almost effortless. Very highly recommended and we will be back!

First allow me to make some remarks about dealing with Wendy Wilmont Properties (WWP): The staff that I had contact with (Tamara, Kathy & Corrine) were absolutely delightful to speak with and were very responsive to my inquiries! However, I rated my overall experience a 4 because of a very negative experience with the WWP 6-passenger golf cart that was provided. I had to call WWP 3 times about different issues and finally had to leave the cart on the side of the road for someone to come tow it away. I would have expected that after 1 call, much less 3, WWP would have at the very least rented me a cart until the WWP cart could be properly & completely repaired and returned. Now about Poolside Paradise itself: I rated it a 5! The home is absolutely lovely, well designed and furnished beautifully! And, the view from the home is AWESOME! Having the pool was great, but I do suggest that the owner have the pool serviced more often; we had to endure very cloudy water for 2 days.
