    Bienvenido a Alta Vista. Desde que experimentó una gran renovación en el verano de 2015, esta increíble villa de vacaciones está de vuelta y mejor que nunca.
    Ahora con un par de cubiertas envolventes en la segunda y tercera plantas, cinco habitaciones, todas equipadas con unidades de aire acondicionado, un nido de cuervo en la planta superior que puede servir como un sexto dormitorio, y todos los nuevos electrodomésticos y muebles en toda la casa , Casa Alta Vista se ha transformado en una escapada de vacaciones ideal para grandes grupos de amigos y familiares.
    Ubicado en la exclusiva comunidad de Escaleras, Casa Alta Vista tiene algunas de las mejores vistas del océano en toda Costa Rica. Desde la cubierta de la extraordinaria piscina de borde infinito de la villa, los huéspedes tienen líneas de visión ideales hacia el Océano Pacífico abajo, incluyendo vistas inigualables de la famosa cola de ballena en Uvita. La piscina de borde infinito tiene todo lo necesario para conseguir cómodo, incluyendo tumbonas, sombrillas, refrigeradores y juguetes de la piscina. Incluso la ducha de la piscina al aire libre tiene una magnífica vista del poderoso Pacífico abajo. ¡Todo dicho, no puede ser un mejor lugar al bronceado en el planeta entero!
    Justo más allá de la piscina se encuentra una bodega relajante, donde los huéspedes pueden tomar un café mientras observan los tucanes matutinos tomar vuelo, o mezclar cócteles durante la puesta de sol de la tarde al sonido de monos aulladores en los árboles.
    La casa tiene todo lo que necesita para unas vacaciones modernas y de lujo. Hay internet inalámbrico, televisión, electrodomésticos de vanguardia incluyendo un lavavajillas, microondas, estufa, horno y una unidad de lavadora / secadora. Tres de los cinco dormitorios cuentan con baño y duchas, mientras que los otros dos dormitorios comparten un baño y ducha. Además, hay un quinto baño abajo cerca de la lavandería.
    De todas las nuevas adiciones y actualizaciones, las cubiertas envolventes son realmente algo espectacular. Estas cubiertas tienen asombrosas vistas de la selva al mar, y están completos con ventiladores de celda múltiples, sillas, mesas e incluso un sofá cómodo. Las probabilidades son que usted va a pasar mucho tiempo relajándose en estas cubiertas mientras escucha la música natural de la selva circundante.
    Con el nido de cuervo adicional en la planta superior, que tiene su propia cama, Casa Alta Vista puede acomodar fácilmente a una docena de invitados.
    La villa se encuentra a unos 10 minutos de la carretera costera, directamente entre las ciudades de Dominical al norte y Uvita al sur. Llegar a cualquiera de las ciudades en coche tarda menos de 20 minutos. Cada lugar - Dominical y Uvita - cuentan con restaurantes, tiendas, bancos y tiendas de abarrotes. Uvita también tiene un par de farmacias. También hay un bar y restaurante muy popular en la montaña, Bar Jolly Roger, que sirve comida de calidad, cerveza fría y tiene música en vivo. El Bar Jolly Roger se encuentra a 3 minutos en coche de la villa o a 10 minutos a pie.
    Las actividades al aire libre abundan en esta zona del país. Durante su estancia en Casa Alta Vista, estará a poca distancia en coche de todo tipo de excursiones excelentes, incluyendo tirolesas canopy, rafting, surf, parapente, cascada rapel, aventuras ATV, paseos a caballo, snorkeling, kayak y mucho más.
    Hay muchas opciones al elegir una villa de lujo en el sur de Costa Rica, pero pocos pueden igualar la singularidad, el estilo y el confort moderno de Casa Alta Vista. Este es realmente un lugar donde una semana de vacaciones puede hacer recuerdos que duran toda la vida.

Beautiful home with gorgeous views. Helpful property manager. Gated private drive and felt very safe. Relaxing oasis that allows you to enjoy being on the side of a mountain, in the middle of a jungle, with panoramic views of the ocean.

The house was beautiful and perfect to accommodate our family of 6 adults and 4 children. The view was outstanding, I miss waking up to it already. The grounds and gardens were stunning, house was very private. Every morning we were visited by a toucan which was fun to watch, so many birds here. This area of Costa Rica is breathtaking. The staff was absolutely wonderful to deal with, any questions we had were answered immediately. The only disappointment was we didn’t book it longer, we will be back for sure!

Family vacation in Costa Rica

The stay was great. The bedrooms were great size, the pool was excellent and used every day, and the kitchen equipped with all we needed. And the views from the property were absolutely spectacular!! You definitely need 4-wheel drive for the road up from the highway, but the distance from Uvita or Dominical wasn't bad.We had a great time al;l the way around!!

It’s heavenly!

The views are amazing...we got to see so many types of birds and wildlife from the villa itself...the gardens around the villa are great....the villa from inside is highly functional...and a responsive team. Overall a great stay. Have recommended to keep extra paper towels in kitchen and consider upgrading the mattress in the master bed near the pool.

Wonderful stay

We had a spectacular time staying at Casa Alta Vista. Coffee on the deck every morning. Listening and photographing birds and other visitors. 4W drive a must for the ten minute climb up the mountain to the house. But well worth it for the view. Solid home with really cool gardening all around.

Magic in Costa Rica

This rental was a little bit of heaven for our group. We were a group of two families ranging in ages from teenagers down to a six year old and it worked perfectly for us. From check in to check out, the property manager was more than helpful and everything ran smoothly. Hats off to Jonathan. The house was clean, stocked with everything we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable. There was more than ample seating everywhere so that indoors or outdoors, the magic of the location could be enjoyed either alone or with friends. The pool was cleaned and maintained regularly during our stay and was a highlight for everyone. They aren't joking when they say that you need 4-wheel drive for this location, especially if it rains. However, the trade off is more than worth it. If you are wondering if you can walk to the Bar Jolly Roger, the consensus from our group is no, but drive down for a burger. We loved this rental and would recommend it to anyone.

Family vacation

We were a group of 8 adults and 3 young kids. We enjoyed the property very much. The pool was fantastic! There is 1 bed on main floor with queen bed and bathroom, ac included. Theres a seperate bathroom for guests in main floor. There are 4 bedrooms on 2nd floor, all with ac. 2 of them have bathrooms of their own and 2 of them share 1 bathroom. On the 3rd floor, there are 2 beds (twin and full), but no ac or bathroom on that floor. Kitchen was well stocked but a little small for our large group. Dryer had to be rebooted a few times by plugging and unplugging. Electricity went out once for 2hrs, at least that we noticed...that's really good, from my previous experiences in CR. Never had any issues with water, hot water was plentiful. Grounds and lawn were well maintained. Property manager waz very responsive and easy to get a hold of. I love this area of costa rica, been here many times now with my family. Drive up the hill to the property is definitely an adventure by itself. All i can say is...you'll get used to it in a day or two.

Great location and great house

Spacious house with pool with amazing view. You definitely need 4x4 to get to the property, expect standard Cost Rica problems like temporary power outage and water outage in rainy season. The property manager Jonathan was very much in touch in responding and resolving any concerns or issues as they occured. He also kept checking on us from time to time. The dominical area is great for beaches, and jungle activities . We did paragliding with Dominical paragliding near the house and also did ATV ride near Uvita. We saw many birds Toucans, howling monkeys, laughing falcon ، bat falcon, and above all oropendola have nest nearby so they come every morning and evening.

The outside space is phenomenal.with beautiful vistas and sunsets. This place can accommodate 10 adults plus children easily in large bedrooms. Will definitely try to return!

Costa Rican Paradise!

Excellent choice for our group of 10. Everyone was more than satisfied overall. Just a few snags with plumming and random power outages but nothing we didn't expect. The VRBO listing needs to be updated with an additional photo of ALL the bedrooms. The amazing views and coziness made up for everything. YOUGETHERE staff was always on the ball for us. We very much enjoyed everything. Thanks!

Paradise found

We enjoyed staying in this spacious home with a spectacular view. The pool and property are absolutely beautiful. We had three families which included nine people at the house and it was very spacious for everyone. Definitely a one-of-a-kind property! The concierge was very helpful and responsive before and during our stay in Costa Rica.

Breathtaking House and Grounds

Casa Alta Vista went beyond every expectation we had. The grounds were full of a variety of local flora and fauna. We were visited daily by monkey's, toucans, a sloth, and a wide variety of other birds. The house had more than enough room for three families, 4 adults and 5 kids age 14-18. The house was spectacular with its views, modern amenities, and overall layout. The drive up to the house is not for the faint of heart, especially when the sign says 4x4 required as you enter onto the road. The location was perfect for every activity we did, as everything was within a 1/2 hour. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

Breathtaking views!

We had a great stay in March 2019 with a group of six. Make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle to get up the road to the house. We had two SUVs and one SUV turned out to be front wheel drive and we got stuck and had to park down the hill until the rental car company brought us another. Alonso was a great help that evening getting us to the house. We had groceries delivered by Stephen to the house just prior to our arrival which was very helpful. The house was very clean and the gardener, housecleaner and pool man all did a great job keeping it looking great. Our first day was a relaxing day at the house and pool and we saw toucans, aracaris, an agouti and a white nose coati on the property. Each morning we got up early to hear the howler monkeys and the sounds of the birds and watch the sunrise. It was stunning. The covered hut was perfect to get out of the sun in the afternoon and was another great spot to watch the toucans. We enjoyed hiking to Nauyaca Waterfalls (upper and lower). It was a hot hike but got to see macaws, peacocks and Capuchin monkeys as well as another coati. We also had a private tour at Manuel Antonio National Park and saw a lot of sloths and other animals. We went zip lining with Osa Canapy tour with a beach stop at the Whale Tail at low tide in Uvita, which you can see from the pool at the house! Several restaurants in Dominical area - Great dinner at Por Que No for sunset, Phat noodle was good food, a little slow service. Fuego Brew Co was good and a great dinner at La Palapa at Cuna del Angel for our last night. Make sure to have some lunches at a local "soda". The house was great. We loved the porch on the second floor and the third floor with the hammock and another couch to nap and take in the view/look for animals was also perfect. We had two episodes of regional black outs, one for 2 hours in the middle of the night and the last evening from late evening until early morning. The house has battery powered lanterns which were handy. Just part of the experience. The best treat on the last day of our trip was seeing a sloth in the tree by the pool enjoying eating buds on the tree and moving from branch to branch. This was such a great trip and the house was perfect - great outdoor grilling area, thoughtful touches like pool floats/toys/beach towels. We would love to come back and we are sharing the listing with friends that saw our pictures. The view from the backyard was absolutely spectacular! Pura Vida!

Our family spent the Holiday’s together and we could not of picked a more perfect location in Dominical. Casa Alta Vista was amazing and as nice as the pictures are on the site, the house is even better in person. You wake up in the morning and drink your coffee looking out over your infinity pool to the most amazing view of the Pacific Ocean and the whales tale in Uvita. The sounds of howler monkeys and toucans are in the trees all around you. We had 15 people and this house had no problem sleeping all of us. 3 levels with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Also, the staff was always very quick to respond to any questions we had. Another perk, the house is less than a mile away from Bar Jolly Roger which has great food and a total Costa Rican feel. I would HIGHLY recommend this house and we can’t wait to go back and stay here. Pura Vida!!!

Modern Jungle Home with Tremendous Views

Our stay at Casa Alta Vista was awesome. The house was very clean when we arrived, and Stephen was very helpful during our check-in process. He told us about the local area, and gave us some good info on making the most out of our stay. The view was just incredible, and the house had so many outdoor spaces to enjoy it from. The view looks down on the "Whale's Tale" beach at Uvita. You could honestly just spend hours staring at it. We were lucky enough to catch a whale jumping out of the water as we ate breakfast outside on the first morning. We also saw monkeys, toucans, parrots, and an agouti on the property. The location is pretty convenient to attractions as well. Dominical, Uvita, Nauyaca Falls, and more are all convenient to the area. Manuel Antonio and Jaco are a little further away, but we made day trips to those areas as well. Be prepared for the drive up to the house. It requires 4-wheel drive, and can be a little scary at first, but it is safe, and you get totally used to it after a couple days. The house is in the Jungle on a mountain, so it's septic system doesn't allow for the flushing of toilet paper, you must throw it away. This wasn't nearly as big of a deal as it seemed at first, and is pretty standard in this area. There are also rolling brown outs in these areas of Costa Rica. This is also pretty standard, and we weren't really bothered by it. We weren't there to watch TV or anything like that. This was our first stay in Costa Rica, and everyone had a blast. I would absolutely recommend Casa Alta Vista to anyone looking to stay in the Dominical area.

Breathtaking views, amazing wildlife, and so relaxing!

We had 2 families that shared this home! So much room, anything needed in kitchen, and private area to relax with family! We loved the cabana it was our favorite place even the children! Coffee watching sunrise in cabana was just serene!! Close to surround places, beaches, and many activities! We couldn’t have asked for a better visit and place to stay!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Awesome week in Dominical

Absolutely beautiful home. Views from the Pool breathtaking. Well laid out. Spacious bedrooms. About 10 minutes to beaches. Need 4x4 to get there. Good communication with rental company. Met us on time and good orientation of the house. All around 5 stars. Would definitely book again. C
