I got the shot I wanted after a lot of research, 17’000kms and a week of travel, a very early morning, a sketchy, sandy motorbike ride and a little bit of blind luck in the form of a local kid who pointed me in the right direction. What a great holiday we are having.
Decorative carts for hire, though I suspect they look better than they ride. I think I'd recommend a bike or moped instead.
Dramatic lighting on Thatbyinnyu adds ambiance to an evening in Bagan.

Great location in old Bagan. Spacious room and a riverside restaurant with spectacular sunset view! The room is very spacious. But the bathroom needs to be repaired. The towels are worn and frayed. It was very cold during the night (end Dec)

Traditional Small Resort
Excellent staff and good river view. The pool is clean and the restaurant is delicious. The pool bar being open would make it much better!

Bel hôtel , piscine agréable
Hôtel très agréable, chambre très spacieuse vue sur la rivière mais un peu bruyante ( bateaux et travaux). Piscine très plaisante dans la verdure . Restaurant très bon mais petit déjeuner moyen ( qualité du pain et des jus de fruits )
