Kiwi Retreat is a spacious flat with two bedrooms sleeping up to six adults. Its secluded location is on the outskirts of Bad Urach in the Biosphere area, 2 km from the town centre in the Seeburger Valley and adjacent to the event location Künkele Kunstmühle. Kiwi Retreat is surrounded nature, located in a huge garden, the Erms River running behind the property, and a vast number of forest trails and clifftop lookouts just begging to be hiked. The rooms are decorated with photographs of special places in New Zealand, which, together with mostly solid wood furniture, make the flat feel very natural.

Supermarkets, shops and bakeries are located between Kiwi Retreat and the historic town centre. Bad Urach is a spa town with many attractions such as the Albtherme, an outdoor 50 m swimming pool with views directly across to a ruined castle, a Kneipp pool, and some of Germany’s most beautiful hiking paths. Waterfalls (Uracher & Gütersteiner), caving (Falkensteiner Höhle), canoeing (Lautertal), Hohen Wittlingen & Wolfsschlucht, Höllenlöcher, Ermsquelle, Hohen Urach offer many outdoor activities and boundless hiking and biking from the property. The area offers many gastronomic delights. The train station and tourist information centre are located in Bad Urach (1.7 km) and buses pass the house regularly (nearest bus stop 200 m). Stuttgart airport is 37 km away. There is off-street parking at the property.

The surrounding area offers many attractions: Metzingen outlet city for shopping (12 km), Laichingen Kletterwald (25 km), Achalm (15 km), Burg Teck (16km), Hohen Neuffen (12 km), Freilichtmuseum Beuren (18 km), Lautertal und Gestüt Marbach ( 16 km), Lichtenstein Castle (20 km), Wimsener Höhle (35 km), Blautopf Blaubeuren (37 km), Zwiefalten (37 km), Tübingen (35 km) are only some of the places to visit.

The flat is set up as a retreat that allows relaxing in nature, it is ideal for families and can be used as a work space for writing. There is a bathroom (with bathtub and shower) and a kitchen with stove and oven (no dishwasher). The large lounge room opens out onto a large covered balcony allows enjoying the bird song surrounded with nature views. While there is wifi, there is no TV and the flat can be used for phone detox to unplug for a while and reconnect with oneself and nature, and indulge in wellness offers of the region.
