Spectacular Views! Minutes from Many Glacier and St. Mary's!

  • ☆ All bookings are set up as a 6-night stay with check-in on Sundays and check-out on Saturdays. If you would like to book for two weeks back-to-back please message and we will adjust accordingly. ☆

    The Shooting Star Lodge is a warm, comfortable home well suited to enjoy the views of GNP for all four seasons. Our family is from the area (Cut Bank) and we have loved going fishing on Duck Lake, hiking in beautiful Glacier National Park, and visiting Waterton Lakes National Park. There is nothing quite like the feeling of relaxation that you get while taking in the stunning mountain views from the property's wrap around deck. You can even enjoy the views from the outdoor shower/tub! We are just minutes from the east side GNP entrances, Many Glacier, and St. Mary's.

    The Shooting Star Lodge has all of the following amenities:

    ☆ Cell service is extremely limited. There is a cell phone booster at the house, but it can only do so much. Verizon is typically the only provider that works in the area, and that can be spotty too.

This was a great place for our group of two couples and a single. The beds were comfortable, the space was inviting, the kitchen had everything needed for cooking, and the views from both inside and out were spectacular. We went to Glacier National Park every day and the access was easy. We also went to Waterton one day and that was great. I would highly recommend this cabin.

A wonderful place to stay on the east side of Glacier National Park! The entire Lodge/house is quite inviting, with an excellent kitchen, big and wide open main living room area, nice bed rooms and beautiful views of Glacier's eastern mountains. Be aware that the Lodge is in a remote area, which was a plus for us, but the closest towns are quite small (populations just over 100). A handful of local restaurants and shops, and we passed by the Lodge a few times on its off-road before we were sure we located it. (It's the nicest building on the road.) None of this is a criticism or a complaint; you just want to be aware. Our hosts were great in telling us to pick up a boatload of food at Kalispell (Glacier Airport), which is about a two and a half hour drive away from the Lodge. They were excellent in communication, information and guidance, For our week at the Lodge, we cooked breakfast every morning, made sandwhiches for our daily hiking, cooked dinner 3 times and went out to eat 3 times. The night sky is gorgeous from the property. Outstanding Milky Way!

Perfect location to explore the east side of Glacier. Clean and nice amenities for cooking meals. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Glacier vacation

Wonderful house close to Glacier entrances. Kristin was very accommodating, and the house was immaculate and comfortable. Tons of fantastic hiking nearby. Highly recommend.

Glacier Vacation 2022

This is a wonderful home to vacation. It is very clean and spacious. The owners have put much thought into the accommodations and there are many added touches and conveniences such as soap, shampoo, lotions, coffee. The view of the mountains is amazing and location is convenient to St. Mary's and Many Glacier. The owners are responsive and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had an incredible stay in Babb. The location was perfect and very close to the Glacier. The house was clean and well set up. The breakfast treat was unexpected and very appreciated. Kristin was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. We would love to return!!

Perfect location and space…

We are return guests and as pleased this time as we were in 2021. Perfect location for hiking in Many Glacier and St. Mary but also the entire Glacier National Park. Beautiful views and extraordinary sunsets, private, lovely neighbors, comfortable beds, great kitchen and living space, WIFi and tv reliable, very clean, excellent communication with host, Kristin. Had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Will return again. Thank you, Kristin!

The cabin had great space for our two families. The kids stayed downstairs and the adults upstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed and enough room to hang at night. Porch has stunning wrap around views of the mountains. Being on East side allowed for ease of access into Many Glacier, GTTSR from St. Mary, and Two Meidicine. We still enjoyed exploring the West side of the park too and didnt mind the stunning drive back to the cabin. We planned to eat back at the cabin and pack lunch so the lack of restaurants on East vs West side wasnt a problem for us and having ease of acccess to the park with no or very minimal lines to get in was most important and a huge binus for our crew. Would definitely recommend this cabin to others for their Glacier trip.

This was the exceptional place to stay for our vacation to the east side of Glacier National Park and Waterton. Easy access to all entry points on the east side and Logan’s Pass. The mountain range view of Glacier is spectacular (inside the home and on the wrap around porch) and a perfect to relax and recharge. The house was exceptionally clean, and well stocked with kitchen supplies. There were lovely added touches of a fresh floral arrangement, locally made breakfast treat, and local coffee. The hosts truly thought of everything and were very kind and responsive to any needs. After hiking and exploring during the day, we came back to the house and enjoyed all the amenities; grilling, playing boardgames, the sauna, watching movies, sitting around the outdoor gas fire pit roasting s’mores, outdoor shower, and relaxing watching the sunset over the mountain range. We would highly recommend staying here and will rebook when returning to Glacier.

MAGNIFICENT ACCOMMODATIONS ON GLACIER'S QUITE SIDE.

Hands down the best rental I have ever been to. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need and then some - even a fresh cut flower bouquet. They responded so quickly to the few questions I had. Excellent location if you want to stay on the east side of Glacier National Park. Very close to the Many Glacier entrance and just a bit further to the St. Mary's entrance. Several enjoyable restaurants nearby, but we enjoyed the accommodations so much we had most our breakfasts and dinners at the cabin. My adult boys especially loved the provided kayak and paddle boards to use at nearby Duck Lake, which was a quick walk across the road. Great hosts, spotless accommodations with everything you need, and beautiful views of the mountains - what more could you ask for!!

The perfect Vacation Spot

Wow, a breathtaking view and beautiful property! As a frequent Montana visitor, this is hands down the nicest property I’ve ever rented out here. The attention to details made my 2 weeks incredibly comfortable. The stunning views and easy access to Glacier Park made this vacation one of my memorable summers out n Montana! Amazing on all accounts!

We just spent the week at Shooting Star Lodge while visiting East Glacier. Every two years, our dad takes my brothers and I hiking to a different park and this ranks at the top of our experiences! We logged over 60 miles on the trails and were thrilled with the location and amenities that the house provided. The owner was in contact with helpful information and it was obvious that they pay close attention to detail, leaving the "extras" that others don't. We would highly recommend this cabin!

Amazing !

The cabin was perfect. The location is between St. Mary & Many glacier making it an easy drive for going in at either entrance. Kristin & Zach thought of everything! It was well organized, homey and even included a thoughtful breakfast & coffee grounds from local vendors. I have traveled a lot and this is by far the best accommodations I have had! The views from the Cabin were better than the pictures. Kristin was extremely welcoming and quick to respond with any questions. 5 stars isn't enough for this place!

We loved the house! View is better than the pictures and the house is comfy and homey. We didn’t get to see Road To The Sun because most of it was closed. No horse back riding in this area until 2nd/3rd week in June which was a bummer. But we did several hikes in St Mary snd Two Medicine. Even got to see a bear and her cub on our hike! Hosts are amazing …friendly and helpful. Our family loved it!!

Perfect stay at Shooting Star Lodge

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children (10 & 12) really enjoyed our stay! Home is spacious and very clean!! Appreciated the thoughtful touches like shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each shower, extra toiletries, fun local cinnamon roll breakfast, games, fans for each room, light blocking curtains, and well stock utensils/pans/etc in the kitchen. The view from the back deck is amazing all times of the day. And the community is very quite. Is perfect location for quick access to both Many Glacier and St. Mary's. We didn't have time to use them, but was nice to have paddle board and kayak in the basement. Having the outdoor shower was great so one other person could clean up at the same time. And Lindsay is very responsive! Wifi, as Lindsay will tell you, can be slow at best. We didn't bother with it most of the time. Was nice to take a break from being constantly plugged in!! Would definitely stay again, for two weeks next time!! Thank you Lindsay and Zack for sharing your home with our family!!

Lovely property

Kristin could not have been more helpful with answering my many questions and helping us when we had some problems (unrelated to the house). The house is lovely and the views are great (when there is no smoke from the fires. The kitchen is very well stocked and the beds are all comfortable. The location is terrific for access to the Many Glacier, Two Medicine and Cut Bank areas of GNP. It is, however, a bit isolated. Thank you Kristin!
