Hafling is located slightly above Merano and enjoys many hours of sunshine throughout the year. In winter, the Falzeben valley station of the Merano 2000 ski area is just over 2.5 kilometers away. This family-friendly ski area, with its 40 kilometers of slopes, offers plenty of enjoyable runs.
The cross-country trails through the larch forest near Falzeben promise a scenic experience.
After an action-packed day of winter sports, the Merano Thermal Baths beckon with their pools and saunas.

In summer, a diverse hiking and biking area awaits you.
In the Merano 2000 area, exciting hiking destinations such as the mysterious Kratzberger Lake, easy peaks like Mittager and Windspitze, and challenging destinations like Gr. Ifinger with its via ferrata beckon. A hike to the legendary Stoanernden Manndln is particularly rewarding, as is the family hike to the scenic Knottnkino or bike tours such as the one to the Vöraner Alm.
Hafling is also a convenient starting point for the Larch Plateau in Salten, for a trip to Schenna via the leisurely Waalweg, or for the hiking area around the Taser Alm.
The beautiful Waalwege trails around Merano, which are accessible year-round, are also just a short distance away.
