Welcome to 217 Beacon A - Avalon Home. This is a beautifully decorated town home in the heart of Avalon. The top of three levels has two master bedroom suites with spacious Cal King and Queen beds and a small balcony to sit out and enjoy the views. The middle level has a great room, kitchen, Queen sized sofa sleeper, and powder room, with sliders to a side balcony from the living area. You enter the home on the lowest level, where the third bedroom is located with a two sets of bunk beds. This condo is just a short walk to the beach, shopping, and activities. It's a perfect home-away-from-home for families. Approximately 1900 Sq. Ft. 217BA

This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day). QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited). What an adorable place! We had an excellent time here. We stayed for three days and there was enough amenities for us during our stay. Beds are comfy, showers have soap and shampoo/conditioner. The fridge has filtered water. The views are great! Communication was easy and we had no issues during our stay.My only very minor complaint was that there aren’t beach towels at the property, but fortunately we had some of our own so not a big deal.I would stay again!

The place was bigger than it appeared online in photos which never happens. It accommodated all of us perfectly. I liked the location because it was abit off the beaten path and in a quiet neighborhood. Views were great! Our only issue was that the neighbor next door was not very friendly and obviously not happy that our place was a rental. We were still respectful and killed her with kindness.

It was a beautiful house but it wasn’t all clean mold on towels and a lot of ants in the bedrooms. Didn’t feel anything was clean enough the floor in the leaving room made our feet’s all black. Overall the house is ok but the walk to it not fun at all if you have heart or knees problems

It was a pleasant stay walking distance to the town. Easy access to all shops and restaurants! House was clean with lots of space and beds. Checkin and checkout process was accommodating and easy. Would definitely recommend!

Catalina Island Marathon weekend

This was a beautiful place to stay!Our family loved it! We had plenty of room for the 6 of us!Several family members were running the Catalina marathon so the location was perfect!!We would love to come back and stay here again!

Familymoon in Catalina

Staying at the house was a great choice for our holiday. The bunk beds were super comfortable for the kids. The fridge was great with filtered water and we cooked several meals. We were able to check in early which was fabulous. Water pressure was awesome place was clean. The televisions were difficult to work in all the rooms, the dryer didn’t work, there was no sponge to wash dishes, the screen door on the top floor kept jamming up. It would have been nice to have access to wagon I would suggest adding a very more bath towels for guests. There is a very steep hill to get to the house but it’s short and totally doable. I would stay there again

Great Location

Property is in a wonderful area a short walk away from all the businesses and shops in Avalon. However, the carpet was extremely dirty and the towels were stained and looked possibly used even though they were supposed to be clean. The half bath on the kitchen level did not have a hand towel so we had to allocate a kitchen towel for use in the bathroom. There were not enough linens for the pull out couches in the living room. The upstairs bedrooms were nice and had adequate linens. I messaged the host about this and received no response from them the entire trip. The only soap were tiny bars of hotel soap and I was worried we would run out. Overall price was not bad compared to other properties but was very expensive for the lack of amenities such as hand soap.

Everything in the house was great except for the mattress in the bedroom on the top level in the back of the house slumped in the middle quite a bit.

Very nice, comfy unit. 3 floors bedrooms on 1 & 3. Given the big hill and stairs not for the mobility challenged. Needs a golf cart for real. 24/7. Unfortunately, they rent buy the hour so was only good for checking in-out. Nice views of harbor.

Amazing hosting

Overall the place was amazing very clean and very cozy. We had everything we needed for our trip and didn’t have to buy anything extra for our stay! Really appreciated the coffee and dishes available. Check in was fast and easy.

The house was nice, but needs a deep, deep cleaning. We had to rewash the bed sheets, empty the bathroom trash and vacuum the whole house. The carpet was extremely dirty. There were thousands of ants everywhere. We had to keep everything in the fridge to avoid more ants!!! The construction noise behind us was way annoying, we would have appreciated full disclosure. Sleeping in was not an option. Horrible noise!!!!We were hoping for more of a quiet area. TOO much furniture in the living area. Very hard to walk around and get comfortable. Ditch the large wicker chairs!!!!

A few suggestions

The fans in the bedrooms could use a good cleaning. Extra box fans were a huge benefit. The entry door is difficult to open and sticks requiring a strong "shove" to open it. It was just the right distance from the main areas of Catalina for shopping, dining, sight seeing while being quiet. The third floor balcony is amazing. A barbecue would be nice.

This was a great location & roomy property for the six of us. It was a warm weekend but, kindly, the property had a few extra box fans to assist keeping the place cool. It does have a very steep hill to climb to the location, but with a steep hills come great views! I would certainly stay here again.

Wonderful location

We had a fabulous stay in Catalina Island! The VRBO worked quite well for me and my family. We had six adults staying in the home which worked well with its three bedrooms. The upstairs bedrooms had nice views and a small porch outside their hallway. Unfortunately, the home behind this home had construction going on each day we were there which created too much noise for us to use the outside porch. We absolutely loved the location and found the neighbors to be pleasant as well. It is on a hill that is quite steep for walking but that height makes the view better.
