Waterfront Cottage, Large Dock Access, Beautiful Deck Views, Dog Friendly!

This is a two level, 1700 ' home that has a master bedroom that sleeps two, as well as an open loft that can sleep four. There is a large deck overlooking Owasco Lake with a path to a seasonal dock access. The kitchen, dining area, and living room are spacious. There is cable TV as well as wireless internet access provided. There is a large split duct air conditioner for the house. There is a large washer and dryer for personal use. There is a full bathroom on the first level and a half bathroom in the loft. A propane grill as well as a Blackstone griddle are available, as well as a lakeside fire pit. There are plenty of private parking spaces. This is a dog friendly property in which the home owners live next door with two friendly dogs.

Nice place, conveniently located

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property! It is as described. The weather was too cold and rainy for us to use the kayaks, but we surely will next time. We had stayed on Seneca and Keuka Lakes in the past, and I'm glad we tried Owasco this time. Auburn, a good-sized town with lots of amenities, was a a very short drive.

Cottage Retreat

My daughter and I enjoyed an amazing weekend at this beautiful cottage on the water. It is so convenient to the shops in Skaneateles and restaurants in Auburn. The cottage was immaculate and spacious. It was homey and a relaxing place for a weekend respite. Mike and Karen are terrific hosts.

Wonderful cottage

Our family of 5 and our dog loved our stay here. The large patio overlooking the water with plentiful seating was the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee, the sunsets, lounging/reading, and outside dining. The spacious waterfront/docks and floating dock enabled us to enjoy lots of fishing and swimming, and our dog absolutely loved the water and being out on the docks and patio with us. The multiple kayaks, paddle boards, and life vests that were provided for our use was also one of the reasons that attracted us to this booking. The house was plenty big with the loft being a great space for our 3 kids. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the living area had ample comfortable seating to relax in the evenings. Most of all, the house was impeccable clean when we arrived. Mike was incredibly easy to communicate with and checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was going ok, and was flexible with our check-in time which was greatly appreciated. The house itself is in a great location on the east side of the lake with easy access into Auburn or exploring other lakes and towns. We had a wonderful lake vacation and would definitely rent this cottage again.

Serenity Achieved on Owasco Lake

Enjoyed our week at the house and the serene setting of the Finger Lakes region. Wonderful/responsive hosts. We loved the house and location. We especially enjoyed the deck, overlooking the lake, from early morning to beautiful sunsets to star-gazing. Easy access to lake to swim, float or paddle. We were able to host family who live in the area. Our 13yo dog had a great tine exploring too. Location close to Auburn and Skaneateles for exploration.

Perfectly situated and very dog-friendly

My husband and I and our dog had a wonderful time at Mike and Karen's house. Beautiful sunset views from the deck and a lovely property on a quiet road. Though we had a couple of bumps during our stay, Mike was responsive and quick to address our issues. Overall, we felt very at home, had a wonderful, relaxing stay, and look forward to staying again in the future!

Amazing place to witness the total solar eclipse!

Beautiful home with an incredible view of Owasco lake! Our family of four and our dog can’t wait to return to this home for lazy summer days and dips in the refreshing lake water! Mike made sure that we every need we had was met. He was communicative and so helpful. We felt right at home. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely spot to vacation in the Finger Lakes, especially if you want to bring your four legged best bud!

AWESOME Waterfront Cottage.

We loved this VRBO. Our family just spent four nights at the cottage. It's beautiful. Perfect location. Close to town, but also a serene setting on the lake. The deck off the living room is the perfect place to relax with friends and family. The docks for water access are great. And we loved the gated, fenced deck area so the dog could hang out with us without worry. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom and a large kitchen with everything you need. The hosts were so nice and answered all our questions. We would be more than happy to visit again.

Finger Lakes with a dog

We have been to the Finger Lake area on multiple occasions. This was our first time with our Labrador, Molly. Mike's and Karen's rental home was a perfect fit for our late summer vacation. The views from the house were spectacular with picturesque sunsets. Molly would go swimming many times during the day in the crystal clear lake. She loved chasing the ducks. The owner are very much dog friendly. They even invited our dog into their home. The beach road is a good place to walk your pet. This rental home is within reasonable driving distances to many of the popular sites in the area. You can't go wrong by renting this property.

Family vacation

A week for my wife and to spend time with our children and their spouses (along with three dogs). Beautiful spot, not a great weather week but we were able to spend time near/in the water. Many things to do in the area. We had a great hike at Fillmore park and enjoyed lunch a couple of times at Prison City Brewery. We will definitely come back to the area in the future.

Happy Repeat Renters

This was our family’s second time renting this property. It’s quickly become a place that’s turned into a summer tradition. We have a blast playing with the rafts, water noodles, and paddle boards that are available for use at the house. We like the property not only because of the cottage itself, but because of its location. Each day we ventured somewhere within 20 minutes, whether it be downtown Auburn, Aurora, or Skaneateles. We also discovered Emerson park, which is gorgeous, perfect for bike riding/walking/ jogging, and only about 5 minutes away. Mike, as always, was an excellent host and communicator, wanting to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We highly recommend this property and hope to come back for years to come!

The most relaxing stay ever …

We travel and use VRBO extensively and have to say …Michael and Karen exceeded every expectation we had in so many ways. Extremely wonderful conversations, helpful tips on local activities and just down right fun to be around. They made everything extremely accommodating. The location is second to none. The dog friendly atmosphere took the stress out of traveling and the sunset views…perfectly situated on the east shore so you can enjoy every second of the sunset

Wonderful stay

We have been staying at various properties on Owasco Lake for at least 15 years. This location raises the bar and sets a clear standard for relaxing vacations. The owners were very easy to communicate with and replied promptly to any questions we had. Our dog was very comfortable with the owner's dogs and really enjoyed wandering the property. We will certainly be looking at this property for vacations in the years to come.

The Perfect Weekend

This was by far our best rental yet . The place is SPECULAR! The view off the back deck is breathtaking . The place is beyond clean with all the amenities anyone would need . We had such a amazing time and the hosts are lovely . The kitchen was great . We made dinner a couple of night and enjoyed wine on the back deck . The place is spacious , perfect for two couple or a family , best part is you can even bring the dog . We will definitely be booking again in the spring .

Great way to end the summer
