Disappointed

Went to check in only to find someone staying there already…double booked. Very hard to get a hold of host. Finally got placed in another property, only to be told by host that I could only stay 2 nights instead of 3. After negotiations, had to move back to the original double booked place. Multiple things broken, toilet, chairs, Very disappointed!

A/C DOESN'T WORK & OWNER DOES NOT RESPOND

Horrible experience. dirty sheets, bug in sink, dirity dishes in kitchen. The cleaning people arrived 10 mins after we checked in & made us leave the premises & our luggage there as well, for at least 20 minutes, Then the a/c upstairs in the bedroom stopped working & it was 95 degrees so we messaged the owner with no reply until later that night stating they have no reservation under my name. Then 2 days later, the downstairs a/c stops working and no reply back. there is a telephone pole within arm's length from balcony that you can reach out and touch which is dangerous and unsightly to see all the wires hanging right next to where you sit.

Not worth the money

The property was much nicer in the pictures. The water never got actually hot and the bedroom was boiling because the air conditioner is old and probably needs to be replaced or at least have the filter cleaned- it was under the steps why I have no idea because cold air drops so why wouldn’t you put the air where you are sleeping???? The sheets supplied were old and not comfortable and I had to search for pillows. All in all This place was NOT worth the money!!!! Shop around there is better out there

NO HOT WATER!!

This is a very cute property with much appeal with the lay out. A beautiful kitchen set -up and a beautiful comfortable bed. Nice little balcony upstairs. Though unfortunately, there was no hot water to shower properly. I had to message the host about the hot water problem and she messaged me back telling me to run the water for 15 minutes to get hot water. Which I did and the water was warm at best. If I look at your reviews, this problem has been going on since July 10/2023 with no hot water. Again on Sept 12/2023 as the property was reviewed as a Disgusting Smelly Deathtrap.Then again just recently on April 9/2024 with a review stating NO HOT WATER!! So it is evident that the property Host is very well aware that this problem of No Hot Water has been going on for almost a year. But you rented me this property anyway , not caring about the no Hot Water Problem. That is ridiculous for a property with no hot water. Now I would like $100.00 debited back to my debit card for the inconvenience of there not being any hot water on the property for our stay on May 20 - 22/2024. We actually left early this morning at 7 am as my partner needed a hot shower bad and was not showering on your property. We did not stay till check out time at 11 am as a result. Please debit me back $100.00 on my debit card please and Thank-you. I sincerely wish that I could leave a positive, encouraging review as like I said, it is a very cute little property close to all amenities. But no hot water.

NO HOT WATER

It didnt the entire weekend! I let the water run for 10 minutes and still wasnt hot or warm, it was COLD!!!!! NO Bikes, no complimentary basket as shown on site. Glad I brought my own stuff. Roach traps all over, I have pics. I am not satisfied at all. One guy had a fit because I parked in handicap and I was parked legally, I have a handicap placard in window.. I believe I need reimbursement of some sort or I am seeking attorney. I should of had HOT water!!! That bothered me the most! And the dead roach on the stairs. I have pictures and videos of all this mess. If it was summer the water might not have been too bad, but in April you need hot water!!!!! Please lmk if you have a solution for this mess of a trip.

Disgusting smelly deathtrap

This place was basically uninhabitable. There was mold on the walls, the bed linens were filthy and smelled of a combination of body odor and mildew, and it made us gag so much that we had to sleep on a single futon with some stinky throw pillows (which were also gross but slightly less gross than the bed itself). And the worst part as far as I’m concerned is that despite our many efforts to contact the owner multiple times via text, phone and through vrbo customer service themselves to try to work it out, no one from the property bothered to get back to us or vrbo. It is a great location and it cost a fortune. I also booked it based on 5 positive reviews I had seen, but I would encourage you to not book here. It was the worst vrbo experience we’ve ever had and the stench is something that haunts my nightmares. Stay away!

Sorry for the Inconvenience

Pros & cons. We are a family of 4 & where excited to experience a tiny house for our beach trip. Overall size was expected, layout was good LOCATION GREAT as well as sleeping 2 small kids on the futon & us on the bed. Small yet many issues together made us feel the host was not accommodating & didn't care about our overall experience. I asked to check in early bc we had a pet; since it is a tiny house & check out is 11 you would think the 4:00 check in could move up; no they said sorry for the inconvenience we have to do a deep cleaning. Ok no problem we thought, except to arrive and it be basic cleaned not smelling fresh for a turnover, there where ant traps on the counter and small ants, ant traps by some windows. The kitchen did not have paper towels or the cute toiletries it said it had in the listing. The 2 towels where gross, they were ragged with bleach stains + only 1 hand towel. thank goodness we brought more.Going up to the bedroom loft area is a wall AC unit. it had major damage on the wall and looked like mold was staring to build up.I immediately sent a note about the major damage and other scuffs in the home.. they said: Sorry for the inconvenience, we will fix it . Obvi with the kids it was concerning, but we knew we would be out all day only there to sleep at night. The wifi didn't Sorry for the inconvenience. Last I asked if we could checkout later bc of the dog; they said $50 for 2hrs, the inconveniences should have sufficed. Cleaning ppl at door 11:05.

More like Ocean City Shack!

Have used VRBO many times over the years and this was the most disappointing of them all. Definitely the most "misleading" in description and overall accommodations. First off, if you are taller then 5'9", have bad knees, or require showers more than luke warm....RUN! Don't WALK away...RUN! Pictures mislead the size and space of this shack. I believe that "Tiny Houses" are bigger than this place was! I'm 6 feet tall and not a giant by any means, but couldn't even bend over in the shower. Barely enough room to turn around in it. I couldn't even stand up straight at the toilet without hitting my head on the slanted ceiling! Turn the shower on HOT as far as the spicket would go and it never got above luke warm in temperature! I don't do cold showers! The bedroom was up stairs and the stairs themselvers were angled at least 60 degrees straight up, and steps were very small. Seriously...if you don't do stairs well this is NOT the place for you to stay. Sheets looked like they hadn't been replaced with clean and there were holes in them! NO JOKE! Temperature is controlled with 2 small Samsung AC box units that made quite the sound when they ran. If you are a light sleeper, NOT the place for you! Balcony was very small and you are sitting under no fewer then 20 POWER lines which made us very nervous and uncomfortable. Bottom line...really do your research before committing to this property.

Off-season oasis

My husband and I wanted to come down for a couple of days in May before the madness of the summer season started. This cottage was in such an amazing location. Parking was easy to find, it was in the heart of town and just a few short blocks to the beach/boards. It was convenient going shopping, stopping back to drop off our purchases and heading right back out. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s right behind Bungalow Bowls and a few short blocks from Dead End Bakery (don’t skip their bagel sandwiches and dirty chai). We will definitely be coming back in the future!

I went during the off season and this place was perfect. It's near quite a few restaurants that are open year-round, and was only a short drive to a beach entrance for my pup and I. Host was responsive and everything was very simple. 5/5
