Every Friday night (mid June thru early September) enjoy the Best FREE Beach Concert in the Country ! 5min drive/uber, 10min bike ride.
Every Saturday morning (May-September) Somers Point Farmers Market on the grassy grounds at the historic Somers Mansion. 5min drive/uber, 10min bike ride.
The Somers Mansion is also open for free tours every Saturday. Built in the 1700’s the oldest existing house in Atlantic County is a NJ State Historical Site.
With a rich history of music and maritime discover the past at the Atlantic County Historical Society and Somers Point Historical Society Museums or explore yourself and walk the bayside Historic District.
Recreation:
Every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday Morning join the Somers Point Walking Group where you can meet people, enjoy the outdoors, and explore different scenery of the town.
Walk or Bike the 6.5+ mile bike path that begins its first 1 1/2 miles in Somers Point.
Want more of a challenge ? Take the path the other way over the 3 mile long causeway that connects to Ocean City.
Have the kids and want to hit the local playground ? The sprawling grounds of Kennedy Park is another perfect place in Somers Point to spend the afternoon. Picnic tables, charcoal grills, pavilion with restrooms, and benches over looking the Great Egg Harbor Bay. There is also a playground with nice new equipment right in the neighborhood, a short 5 minute walk around the block.
Recreation is plentiful. You are a 5 minute bike ride to the neighborhood Pickle ball courts.
Keep active on your stay. Visit one of the local gyms nearby or book a yoga class.
