Historic Retreat in Lake Claire

Built in the 1920's, this historic two-level townhome/duplex is located on a quiet street in the Lake Claire neighborhood, a quaint intown community. Centrally located but within one of the safest areas in the city.
This duplex captures a view of Atlanta as the historic transportation hub of the South.
The main level embodies Atlanta’s role within the aviation sector of world history (WWII B29 Bombers/Delta).
The kitchen has of hints of Coca Cola (Founded in Atlanta, May 8, 1886), that leads to a private deck.
“The Terminus" lower-level suite has a railway station theme, with a living room equipped with the comforts of any historic lounge. The manager for this property can be found next door.

Could not have been a more perfect stay! From the decor, the comfortable beds and linens, the privacy, the amazing back deck, and just the overall feel of this place, Allen has created the perfect retreat. As a travel nurse, it’s so close to many local hospitals, which is also great! When I am in the area again, I will absolutely stay here.

The house was fully equipped with kitchen supplies and everything you could need. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. The property is great for a family with other kids or multiple groups. Our teenagers were able to have their own bedrooms on the lower level with a bathroom and living space so they could stay up and not keep the whole house up. Parking on the street was always available and the neighborhood is safe and friendly. We went to a different coffee shop nearby each day and there are plenty of restaurants, if you don’t want to cook.

Enjoyed this stay. Great communication, location and pretty clean. The windows over the showers could use some stylish window privacy film; kinda felt like people could see me. Either way, I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this location.

Our stay was excellent. We booked this vrbo due to its close proximity to Emory and due to the great reviews. The house was very well equipped for everything we needed. Very clean, great neighborhood, very safe. Allen is a great host and so easy to deal with quick responses and always making sure we had what we needed and respected our privacy. Our family would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Allan’s. The house was comfortable, spacious, and well-equipt. Plenty of room for our group (5 adults) to eat together, watch the game together (go Birds!) or get away for quiet time when needed. Allan was very responsive to texts. Quiet, clean and convenient place to stay while working in Atlanta for a week. Really appreciated the workspace in one of the downstairs bedrooms - just wish there'd been better lighting set in that room rather than the one small lamp. Excellent, reliable WiFi, comfortable beds and a beautiful neighborhood. Would DEFINITELY stay here again in the future.

Wonderful Property

This was a great experience! We stayed here while attending classes at Emory University for an intensive week of study. The property was clean, well stocked, and convenient. The host replied promptly to inquiries and made the stay very enjoyable! We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful Place!

Traveled to Atlanta to take 2 18 year olds to a concert. I needed a place to stay that was close enough to the venue but still in a nice area. This place was perfect! Location was safe and quiet and the house was beautiful! Perfect layout, very clean and welcoming! Property owner was super communicative and nice. Checked in on us and was super friendly. Will stay here again!
