Timeless charm and elegance are synonymous with Kifissia, one of the oldest and most beautiful suburbs of Athens. A 30-minute train ride from downtown, Kifissia has been a summer retreat for wealthy Athenians and philosophers since Roman times due to its cooler temperatures and abundant greenery.

Whilst I adore the energy, grittiness and creativity found in the heart of Athens, Kifissia offers another dimension and perhaps a slower pace. Restored nineteenth century mansions and villas stand along quiet tree-lined streets and horse-drawn carriages appear at weekends, giving the area a sense of nostalgia and romanticism. Having lived here for the last two years, I love all it has to offer my young family, with its greenery, history and easy access to the great Mount Penteli and the long Marathon coastline for lazy days by the sea.
Kifisia is an upscale residential and shopping district with international designer boutiques, exclusive leather goods stores and art galleries. Long-running family tavernas and modern restaurants with a focus on organic local produce share shady streets with chic cafes. Families head to the Goulandris Natural History Museum for exhibits on plant and animal life, and to Kifisias Park with its ponds and sculptures.
An aristocratic suburb of the Greek capital, Kifissia stands out for its imposing architecture and its invigorating proximity to the lush nature of the Attica region. A stylishly popular destination for upscale shopping and high-end dining and entertainment venues, Kifissia attracts locals and visitors alike who revel in its refreshing ambiance and breath-taking mountain views. After a walk or a bike ride around its many parks and neighborhoods, it is easy to understand why so many Athenians cherish Kifissia for breaks and short escapes from the daily bustle of the city.

I had the pleasure to stay for 10 days at the Elegant Boutique Apt in the heart of the beautiful suburb town kifisia during my visit to my family. Everything was well managed by the hosts and my communication regarding access and functionality of the premises was excellent! I appreciated the fact that they made sure I was comfortable at all times! I stayed with my sister who lives in Greece and we were both very grateful for the hospitality. I will highly recommend the apartment for anyone who prefers the house rather than the hotel room feel during their stay in this upscale neighborhood in Athens Greece Accessibility to the train station and taxis is 5 minutes walk and 10-15 minutes walk to get to the heart of kifisia for shopping, dinners or get groceries and snacks. Since I grew up in the area and I’m familiar with the street names most of the times I walked everywhere to visit friends and relatives. It has changed quite a bit since then but for the better I will definitely consider again the Elegant Boutique Apt in kifisia in my future visit. Everything was extremely amazing! Clean, modern, functional and well maintained Huge thanks to the team for letting us stay there and making it so comfortable for us!
