Our first time using VRBO and pretty much last minute for high season so we grabbed this place. We used our imagination when looking out the front porch over "the interstate" to view the mountains. In its day before progress we imagined a quiet serene view. Whether it's history of the Ebsens is true or not, we did embrace the ambience of bygone years. And although Mother Nature didn't deliver the Fall Foliage as we had hoped, our excursions around the area were convenient and fun. As for recommendations, please do replace the master suite quilt I was glad I brought my own linens. Repairs are needed throughout. The electrical situation puts a bit of fear in a nights sleep. Luckily we did enjoy the gas logs, after, my husband tapped a few times to unstick the thermostat. A better set of cookware would be nice. Paper goods were appreciated, but could have used a few trash can liners .And although the complementary wine was a sweet gesture, I personally would have preferred coffee filters , I made do with paper towels. I'm use to camping so we brought about everything we needed. And just like good campers we left it better than we found it. I hope you will take heed and a little effort to make this lovely old home place just a bit better to make up for the location "progress" has stolen from you. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend for the price..... so far.
