Welcome to River Mist Retreat! This home is close to everything Asheville offers. Whether coming for a vacation getaway or attending an event, River Mist Retreat has everything you need, especially an amazing location! As you make your way to this home, you will be driving along the French Broad River, a lovely scenic area of Asheville. River Mist feels like a private mountain escape despite the fact that it is walking distance to the river park and only 5 miles to downtown, the River Arts District, and all that the city has to offer.

This is a three story home. The home has a beautiful ambiance and is ideal for up to four couples (eight people). The main floor has two bedrooms with queen-sized beds and a full bath, with dining and living space for gatherings. The downstairs has a king bedroom, an en suite bathroom along with a great living space for entertaining and having fun.

The upstairs bedroom has a king-sized bed, an en suite full bath, and a fantastic atmosphere. In this room, there is an adjacent area with a desk for those that need to get work done and a "pull-out" queen sofa-bed to sleep two additional people if needed. This space allows for the home to accommodate up to 8 people total.

The outdoor space is lovely too, surrounded by mature trees on a serene and quiet cul-de-sac. There is a fire pit in the large yard for our guests to gather around playing music, making smores, or just breathing the fresh air. It is genuinely a beautiful yard for you to enjoy! There are also security cameras outside.

Please note additional fees apply for a pet and any additional guests over 8 total.

Pet policy: One small dog (20lbs or less) is welcome upon pre-approval, with a $150.00 pet fee. Exceptions might be made for pets with pre-approval of breed, size and age.

Additional guests over eight people total is $50 per person. 10 total people allowed.

Parking for 4 cars.

The wifi is the fastest available at 1Gbps.

Everything was perfect for our ladies get-away weekend. The five of us had our own spaces and three bathrooms was a real bonus. The living dining area was perfect for our together fun and the outside was beautiful. We didn't have any issues with our stay there.

Beautiful house with something for everyone. Bad knees? There are 2 bedrooms in the main floor. Need some space? The suite downstairs is fully independent and the suite upstairs is spacious and has a great work space. Host was very responsive and very kind when we managed to lock ourselves out. I'd stay here any day! And Asheville itself was amazing. Such wonderful memories!

I found Scott to be responsive except for one request text,which he didnt see. The AC worked well,and house was huge. The dog enjoyed the short trails that surrounded the lot. I did not feel safe walking along the narrow road to the coffee shop, especially if a stroller is involved. Driving safer imo. Alot to keep you occupied at house, but we brought our own toddler so didn't get to use it to full extent. I would rent there again, for sure.

We had a terrific stay at this property! The house was immaculately clean with a large, well stocked kitchen and a great master suite. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and well lit. We enjoyed time on the porch and also the large living space downstairs which was super comfy. The neighborhood is very quiet and neighbors are friendly. Downtown Asheville is easily and quickly accessed from this home. Scott was a very accommodating host, as well! We would highly recommend this property!

Ideal House in Great Location

We stayed here for our son’s wedding. Four comfortable bedrooms worked well as we had other family and friends staying with us. Plenty of bathrooms too. The house includes a nice grill and a wonderful porch - we hosted other family and friends who were in early - grilled hamburgers made for a fun family event. Then we went bowling - the house is close to everything. Also has a nice washer dryer which came in handy. Bonus points - game room downstairs with lots of games and activities. Perfect home for mountain vacation!

Weekend Getaway

awesome space for groups!

great layout for groups with separated sleeping arrangements and several common areas to gather. the downstairs bar with a full-sized fridge is clutch, and the patio is spacious with plenty of seating! Scott was so accommodating and responsive, would definitely recommend!

Family Weekend

We loved our stay at River Mist, house was clean and comfortable. Coming from Tucson, AZ we enjoyed all the green around us and loved the space in the back yard, even found the hidden statue. :-) Location was good, close to downtown and the Biltmore. Enjoyed the snacks!

Perfect weekend away

We loved our stay! Plenty of space inside and out with everything we needed. Host is incredibly communicative. Very close to hiking and downtown Asheville (just be prepared to wait awhile for rideshare). Definitely recommend for large groups.
