    Tucked away on a private 26-acre farm, this beautifully restored 1920s farmhouse cottage blends charm, comfort, and a true Western North Carolina experience. You’ll feel miles away from it all, yet you’re only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, and some of the region’s most loved restaurants, breweries, and hiking trails.

Beautiful views

Great stay at this little cottage. We stayed with my daughter and 2 of her friends and our 2 dogs. Very clean house and a great place to rest at night after all our adventures in the surrounding mountains. Very close to Asheville for some fantastic dinner options. We will be going back.

Go see for yourself!

This house is beautiful. Yes, there’s only one bathroom so I wouldn’t go with a large group of people. However, this was the perfect spot for our honeymoon. You sit on the porch and there’s quiet. The views are amazing. The interior is extremely well done and the house was very clean. It’s a great place.

Perfect place to stay!

I hate it’s taken me so long to leave a review, life has been BUSY!! We stayed here for Easter weekend (2023), and it was perfect!! Our 12 year old loved the space we had for him to run around, even though it was freezing and pouring, he STILL made it outside like any boy would do! The home itself is so cute and perfectly decorated. The size was perfect for us and all the included things made it so easy to settle in with no worries. It’s just a short BEAUTIFUL drive from downtown Asheville, perfectly settled away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. This will DEFINITELY be our place to stay during any of our Asheville trips! Oh, and I must add, the owner was able to work it out to where we could check in just a little earlier, which was a life saver. It was POURING when we arrive is Asheville (that really is an understatement) and the owner was able to work it out to where we could check in a little early! I was and am so appreciative of that. You don’t need to look any further, THIS IS YOIR PLACE TO STAY!!!

Great place

I love this cabin, clean and comfy. The drive up the mountain was fun and scary at the same time. We had Thanksgiving dinner in the cabin and I did bring some cookware with me thinking supply may be limited for a big meal. I’m glad I did that but there is enough if you’re not making a lot of side. Would love to go back in the winter!

Our Second Stay

This cottage is a great getaway when you need some R&R. Very peaceful location and great views, very clean and comfortable accommodations, and just a short drive to Biltmore, West Asheville, and lots of wonderful outdoor activities. Perfect Cottage with the Perfect View!

We really enjoyed the Cottage of Color. The inside was amazing and the view of the mountains just sealed the deal. The snow that came in was definitely a added bonus. We will definitely come back in the future.

We absolutely love our stay at this beautiful cottage! We couldn’t get over how gorgeous the finishes are, the floors are just beautiful and the views were utterly breathtaking! Perfect country home with easy access to town

Everything in the home was perfect! Loved the shower, rustic floors, and full kitchen. My 2 yo pup LOVED roaming the property and playing with goats. Wish we would have been there 3 weeks later as everything in the area was beginning to bloom. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The cottage was as it looked in the listing pictures. It was very clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. We loved the many large windows and deck doors with beautiful mountain and farmland views out each one. A really great place to stay.

Beautiful House to Spend time in

This was a beautifully decorated house that was just as nice as the description. I would recommend it highly as a place just outside town that is nice and quiet, but easy enough to head into town.

Experience Asheville

My husband, daughter and I came for a Christmas getaway and tour of the Biltmore and the Asheville area. This is a small place but nicely decorated and has everything you need. It was a little weird to be away for Christmas and we probably won’t do it again, but the tour of the Biltmore at Christmas was magical. The rest of the area is very nice and so unusually warm that we were really able to walk and explore downtown. We also were able to spend a lot of time on the nice deck at this home, which is quite spacious and comfortable - very unusual for late Dec! It’s always fun to check out a new city with the comforts of home.

Very nice clean place,very quiet and close to all activities In Asheville.

It’s was great, the owner of the property needs to be aware of the entrance steps. It’s painted cement and they get very slippery when wet. My wife slipped on them and sprained her wrist. Maybe they should put non skid strips on them. I too slipped on them even after being aware they were wet and walking carefully.

The perfect getaway

My wife and I and our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels spent a week at the Cottage of Color. The wide open pasture was the perfect playground for the pups and we all loved visiting with the goats and cows. Spectacular location and views and the accommodations were first class. We will definitely be back.

One of the best

Cozy, clean, quiet, peaceful, comfortable, relaxing and close to Asheville. Can’t say enough great things about this place...especially the host, April. She went above and beyond to make the stay fantastic. You won’t regret reserving this place.

Quite retreat

Beautiful house with gorgeous view of Asheville. The house was very clean with all the amenities you need. Bonus was the adorable cows and goats on the property. With a quick drive to Asheville it is an ideal place to stay.
