Summary:
There's a living room on each floor, so the grown-ups can talk downstairs while the kids take over the TV upstairs. Families get a king suite on the main floor, a twin room for the kids, and a back deck up in the trees. Pet-friendly, with self check-in. West Asheville and the River Arts District are 10 minutes away, downtown 15. One review came from a guest on their third stay.
The Space:
The front door opens straight into the first living room: a green velvet sofa, a leather armchair, and a Samsung Frame TV that shows artwork when it's not in use. It runs into the kitchen: white cabinets, granite counters, stainless appliances with a dishwasher, an island with 4 stools, and a dining table by the back door. A guest called it "one of the best stocked kitchens" they had found on Airbnb. The back door opens onto the deck.
The king suite shares the main floor, with a herringbone headboard, a barn-door closet, and its own bath with a double vanity and a glass-door shower. A half bath is on this floor as well.
Upstairs: a second living room with a grey sofa, a wall-mounted TV, and a small desk at the far end. The queen room and the twin room are up here, sharing a hall bath with a tub-shower combo.
Sleeping:
Bedroom 1: king bed, ensuite bath with double vanity and glass-door shower, main floor
Bedroom 2: queen bed, upstairs
Bedroom 3: two twin beds, upstairs
Out back, the private deck sits among tall trees with a wicker loveseat and two chairs; one guest described "the sounds of birds, and gentle breezes."
For families and longer stays: a Pack 'n Play, children's dinnerware, and a washer and dryer in their own laundry room. Wi-Fi is Spectrum; a business guest measured about 300 Mbps.

Guest Access:
The whole two-story house and the back deck are yours; nothing is shared. Parking is snug: 2 cars fit on the gravel pad in front of the house and a third on the small pad along the street, 3 in total. From the gravel pad, about 5 wooden steps climb to the covered porch and front door. Inside, the king suite, its bath, and the half bath are on the entry floor with the kitchen and first living room. Your door code comes by text two days ahead and opens the Yale keypad on the front door. Check-in 4 pm, checkout 10 am.
The Neighborhood:
An older residential street on a wooded hill just west of West Asheville; one guest called it "a nice and quiet respite at the end of the day." Ingles is 5 minutes away, Haywood Road's restaurants and shops 10, the River Arts District and New Belgium's riverside taproom 10, Carrier Park on the French Broad 10, downtown Asheville 15, and the Biltmore Estate entrance 20.
Getting Around:
There's no walking to dinner from here, so plan on driving; I-26 and I-40 are both about 5 minutes away. Rideshare works too, and one guest called it a "quick Uber to everything downtown." Driver apps have routed oddly on these small streets before, so check the pin when you book.
Other Things to Note:
- Pets are welcome at $85 each. There's no yard fence, and the neighbor across the street keeps dogs behind his fence, so walk yours on a leash.
- Trash stays inside because of the bears; once you have a couple of bags, message me and we'll pick them up.
- Coffee is a Keurig, so pods rather than filters.
- Want in before 4 or out after 10? Ask; I usually know a day or two before, once the bookings on either side settle.
- 10 pm to 8 am is quiet time here. No parties or events, and no smoking.
Interaction with Guests:
Once you're in, I'll send a short note your first morning and a checkout reminder the day before you leave. If the keypad ever refuses your code, message me in the app and I can open the lock from here.
