With its modern aesthetic and cozy ambiance, this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom house is designed to provide you with a comfortable and relaxing stay. The master bedroom features a King_sized bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of beachside adventures.

Perfect, cozy cottage. About a block from the beach, fully equipped kitchen, beach gear, and furnishings. Very responsive host (2 very minor questions). Loved the quiet and vibes of Aptos and Rio Del Mar…wish we could have stayed longer!

Houssien's home by the beach was perfect! He was so quick to answer any questions. I really appreciated that. The home is just around the corner from the beach, about 4 houses away from the deli that has good food and right across the street is a really good restaurant with a full bar with great food, a small grocery store, and a place to get pizza, all with-in a 3-4 minute walk. The leather sofa in the living room had two recliner chairs on either end, with another chair that reclined. The king size bed was so comfortable and it seemed extra big! The sheets were so soft. Having two bathrooms was great too! The kitchen had everything you need to cook 3 meals a day if you want to. That was something that was really important to me because I love to cook. Outside of getting Rueben sandwiches for lunch on our second day of five, and getting clam chowder the night of arrival at the restaurant, I prepared every other meal in the kitchen. There were also condiments to use above just the salt and pepper that most houses offer! They also provide streaming so we were able to watch our shows on Hulu in the evenings. We love coming to Aptos for a beach getaway. This is the third house we have stayed in, and this is the one we will return to. Thank you Houssien for being such a great host. We can't wait to return!

The home was in a great location, walking distance from the beach and dining. Activities in the Aptos area are endless, so if you want to stay at this wonderful home and not move your car once, you can still have a great time! Driving distance from so many other amazing activities, including hiking at Nicene Marks. The home is well-equipped with amenities, so bring your clothes, shoes, and toothbrush, and you're all set! We slept well in the comfortable beds. Corner to corner the home was clean. I would definitely stay there again!

Great little beach house that is walking distance to the beach. Walking distance to a little deli, and a market. Everything was as described and my wife and 2 adult children absolutely loved staying here. We were in town for a family wedding but will definitely consider staying here in the future. The place is highly recommended! My family had a great time. It’s so close to the beach and there’s a deli nearby, their breakfast burrito is really good! The washlet toilet seats in both bathrooms are amazing, especially when using it at night, the seats are warm :)

Summer Getaway

Great stay! The property is well kept. Super comfortable beds. Kitchen was organized with plenty of dishes and cookware. Backyard area was a lovely ivy walled hideaway. Amazing proximity to the beach a wagon for use to carry our things back and forth. Cottage was cozy but enough space for 2 adults and 2 teens to be together, and still have space. And there is parking! A sweet place for a nice vacation!

Discovered a Great beach Getaway

I can’t tell you enough how much we enjoyed the area of Rio, Del Mar, and the quaint house tucked down a small street just steps away from the beach. Everything we needed was a moments walk away, whether it was hot coffee, a hot slice of pizza or dinner overlooking the ocean.Most of all my daughter loved the small little river that goes through the beach. This is a great place to stay with your family and the house has everything you could possibly need to keep your kid entertained at the beach. They even have a pull cart, chairs, boogie boards, and beach toys for you to use. We actually didn’t even need any of our own beach items they stayed in the truck.The beds were soft. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and each room had its own wall unit for cool air and hot air. I especially loved the bidets in both bathrooms. I may have changed my mind buying one for myself. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I definitely think we’ll be getting in contact with you again for our next getaway.The Coronado Family

Excellent long weekend

This was the perfect beach house for our family of 3 adults and dog. It is one short blocks walk to the beach and good restaurants. Venus pie trap was great for coffee and breakfast. Pixie deli had delicious lunch, both had outdoor seating. The host made the entire procees simple and easy. We look forward to staying here in the future.

BEWARE of hidden pet fee!! While the listing clearly states the property is “pet-friendly,” it does not mention anything about a pet fee. I booked a two-night stay for my dog and I. Even though nowhere on the reservation was an option to include bringing a pet. After the first night, I received a message from the host saying that he “noticed I brought an announced dog” and that I owe $150 for a pet cleaning fee… I would not have had an issue paying the fee if it had been disclosed in the listing when I made the reservation. I also think there was, what looked like, a camera by the front door, which is fine, but at least mention in it in the listing. I didn’t see any cameras inside the house, or in the backyard. Also be aware, there is no central heat/AC. Just 3 overhead wall units in 3 of the rooms. Even with all 3 units on at highest setting, the house was very cold. We stayed early February and outside temperatures dropped to the 30’s. The bedding was thin, all polyester sheets and comforters, which was disappointing. On the plus side, the house was very clean, and was spacious for my dog and I. The backyard was a bonus, as well as being just two blocks away from the beach. As a vacation rental manager, I was disappointed overall by my experience and wouldn’t return. I hope the host reads this and makes some minor changes, including clarifying the pet fee in the listing.
