Property is amazing and staff is excellent. Highly recommend if the staff can access to reply any message or someone who in charge should be responsible to reply in hour or same business day. "Excellent and spacious hotel rooms, comfortable king bed and great pillows. Very traditional decor which we enjoyed. Breakfast was very good, afternoon tea by the pool was nice, the bar area great and the restaurant at the hotel was amazing definitely worth eating there "

"It was an absolute privilege to stay at Muntri Mews for 3 nights. The room we were appointed was stunning (77D) with a four poster bed (very comfortable) and a lovely large, squishy sofa that was perfect to relax on. We were one skip away jump away from the cafe which served us a delicious breakfast from the menu each morning, which included a glass of fresh orange juice and hot drink of your choice. "Its lovely but note: - very little information is given at check in about bars/facilities/features of the hotel - the victory suites do not allow access to the heritage pool, nor access to the club suite, none of which was intimated anywhere when booking nor on the hotel's own website/literature. "Nice location - All famous restaurants are in walking distance. However, the room , especially the bedroom, was having moldy smell, even we turned the aircon on. The smell should come from the pillows or the mattress."

"We are 2 senior adults from Australia who recently stayed 4 nights at Areca Hotel, Penang. The location was very central and easy to find. The rooms were spacious and clean. The shower was hot and plenty of water. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here."

"Glad I chose to stay here. My room was spacious, cool, and very comfortable. The noise from the street is significant but thankfully it’s quiet at night. The ambiance is unique. The staff is genuinely kind. But they need to break out the paint brushes because some surfaces, especially in the bathrooms, are pretty funky. I’ve stayed at campgrounds and hostels with nicer, hotter, showers :) "

"The hotel is very new, colourful and lively. Nice location right behind the Eastern oriental hotel, good access to food and main street. Hotel equipped with 24 hours indoor swimming pool and gym and good enough for some exercise. One turn off is the view from the room, we were assigned for a room in inner section of the hotel which basically facing the wall and window of the opposite room. I think the front desk can do better as the outer room facing the street are mostly empty. "
