The building has a lot of character and history, but the room and facilities were spotlessly clean and well maintained. "We stayed for 2 nights and had our dog with us we had a lovely room with doors that opened onto a small patio and garden which was ideal for us. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, nicely presented and tasted lovely. I would definitely stay there again."

"The room was not serviced on two days out of four - the reason given was that the housekeeper did not work those days. The restaurant was closed for evening meals at short notice. The entrance door was closed and locked early in the evening and my keys did not work on occasions."
