Stein 33 - Hidden Gem & Special: Vacation Apartment with a Courtyard and a View of the Valley
The vacation rental is located at the back of the house. Access is via a historic fieldstone staircase that leads to a small, sheltered courtyard. From here, you enter the cozy kitchen-living room. The living room is on the right. Adjacent to it is the bedroom with a shower room.
The living room and bedroom face the garden. Due to the property’s hillside location, the garden is about 2 meters (1 story) lower than the apartment, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful view across the Sehmatal valley toward Geyer.
The apartment is equipped for 1–2 people, with the option to accommodate one additional person on a sleeper sofa. The 1.20-meter-wide built-in bed, which is accessible from only one side, offers a cozy retreat—spacious for one person, comfortable for two.
We love the small but lovely bathroom, with its walk-in shower, acacia wood vanity, and genuine slate. The lime-free water from the Ore Mountains leaves no unsightly stains here! :) If needed, a washer and dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board, are available in a separate room.
The bright living room opens onto a balcony through a large set of French doors; the balcony is scheduled for completion next year.
The kitchen-living room is equipped with dishes, pans, and pots for 2 people and can be expanded to accommodate one additional person if needed. The kitchen is designed for self-catering. After a long day of sightseeing, it’s therefore a great idea to prepare dinner or a hot meal in the vacation rental. The usual kitchen appliances are available for this purpose: induction cooktop (2 burners) with range hood, combination oven (microwave/convection), refrigerator with freezer, and dishwasher—and you can even make coffee.
In the summer, the courtyard offers a wonderful, cool place to relax on hot days. This courtyard also has direct access to Hopfengasse, which, after a few steps uphill, leads to Wolkensteiner Straße.
With the sometimes harsh autumn and winter weather in the Ore Mountains, this apartment offers you a cozy retreat!
