  • The Seaside Sanctuary is the upper level unit of a beachfront duplex. It is the 2nd house from the beach with no roads to cross. The front yard is literally thirty steps from one of the most pristine beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. If you open the windows at night, you can hear the rolling surf and smell the salt air. The house is located on a quiet residential street near the north tip of the island. There is no public parking in this area so you pretty much have the beach to yourself. The front deck features a breathtaking gulf view and is a great place to watch the sunset. The house is clean, comfortable and well appointed. The back yard has a shed with some beach gear, a BBQ grill, picnic table and a sun sail shade. We welcome well behaved dogs and have a fully fenced yard for your pup to play.

    The house is light and bright with a multitude of windows showcasing fantastic views. Everything is decorated in a fun and classy "seaside" style. We believe in a good night's sleep so we invested in high quality memory foam mattresses, crisp, clean linens and plenty of pillows. For the chef in the family, there is a fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook and serve most meals. Nothing is more annoying than going to a vacation home that has only one pot and 3 plates! The house has high def smart TVs, bluetooth sound bar for streaming your favorite music and lightning fast wifi throughout. We are neat freaks so you can expect the house to be immaculately clean. In fact, we do a full deep cleaning after each guest. We tried to think of everything so you have all the comforts of home.

    The Village of Anna Maria, on the north tip of Anna Maria, is the best part of the island. It is known for beautiful beaches, breathtaking sunsets and a bunch of really nice people. Not surprisingly, our number one recommendation is to set up an umbrella, plop down on a beach chair and watch the waves roll in. If being a beach bum is not your thing, you can stay busy by hunting for seashells, building a sandcastle or trying your hand at surf fishing. Either way, we provide all the equipment and recommendations to make your day at the beach relaxing and enjoyable.

This upper unit was perfect size and perfect quiet location on Anna Maria Island. Extremely close to the beach access with a little bit of view of the Gulf of Mexico. Stephanie is an excellent accommodating host with excellent communication. There were extra special little touches like fresh flowers, welcome bag, pet accommodations as well as a very clean unit. There are plenty of close restaurants and shopping that are easy to walk or bike to. The unit was very sound, meaning that we hardly heard anything from the lower unit. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything Stephanie!

Amazing place to stay. Very close walk to the beach for a heck of a price. Clear waters, Quite neighborhood, great place to rest and relax!Mrs. Fischer was very accommodating, especially since this trip was put off due to the hurricane’s of 2024. She allowed us to change reservation date to 2025.Already contemplating our next stay!

Great place with convenient beach access

We had a great time staying here. Beach access is super convenient and it was great to have some chairs, towels, a cooler and other beach accessories included with the property. Plenty of restaurants within in a few minutes of the property.

The Seaside Sanctuary is fantastic! Only steps away from a beautiful beach! We rented the upper level for 7 nights. It is clean, comfortable and has all you need for a wonderful beach trip. The owner is a pleasure to work with and communication with her is great! Anna Maria Island is beautiful. We highly recommend The Seaside Sanctuary.

Great location-5 stars! Really enjoyed having beach towels and kitchen supplies. My family of 4 had plenty of space and would definitely stay again! We rented beach supplies (chairs/umbrellas) but that’s pretty typical and worth it since every day was gorgeous and sunny! Clear communication made it so easy! Thanks!

Location is about as good at it gets. The place is run well and the owners were responsive to questions and communication was excellent. Tough to find flaws based on location and price. Property was well represented by the description.

The property was exactly as advertised. The house was clean and everything we needed was provided. Just a short walk to the beach. Very quiet area. Beach is not very crowded. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Home away from home

We have stayed here multiple times over the years. It was like coming home. Soooo close to the beach. And even with storm Debbie raining on us for 2 days, it was so like home that we just relaxed into the world of rain. Bring your family! You will love it.

Perfect retreat!

We are fortunate to visit AMI a couple times of year and we enjoyed our stay here more than anywhere else! The proximity to the beach was ideal. The quiet street and neighborhood were perfect with our dog. It was so much safer and easier than the busier sections off of Gulf. The property manager was super responsive to our request and made our stay that much nicer The unit had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable for the 4 of us. The views from the balcony were simply amazing. I would absolutely book here again and recommend it to anyone looking to visit the island!.

Beautiful property

Steps away from the beach, you can see the ocean from the dinning room window. Restaurants within walking distance . Stephanie goes beyond by having extra toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. We appreciated as publix was very busy and supplies ran out the day we got there. It was a much needed relaxing vacation!

Great Stay at the Sanctuary!!

My wife and I were blessed to rent this property for a quiet and peaceful getaway! The property is in prestine conditions and in a great location! We spent most of the time at the beach which is less than 100 steps from the shore. A true Santuary! Thank you Stephanie for your kindness during the entire process. Right at the beach

Suited to a couple or a family with 1 or 2 children as the second bedroom has single beds suitable for children rather than 2 adults, however, our son and his girlfriend managed OK. The beach is literally 1 minute's walk and on return there is a hot shower to wash away sand from feet and shoes. We had the upstairs property and so had the balcony that we could use to eat breakfast or use the sun-loungers and enjoy the view. Stephanie, the property manager, was always available and helpful with quick responses to any questions. Plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from. If you want a relaxing break this is the place.

Perfect location!

We absolutely loved this cottage and it’s proximity to the beach. Its only a half mile walk to many restaurants and shops. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. The communication with the owner was exceptional. She went above and beyond by welcoming not only us, but our dog as well. We were impressed and would love to return! Notes about the island: It’s busy! Expect wait times wherever you go for food. If you want to rent a golf cart, schedule it in plenty of time before you come down. Not all streets have sidewalks and there isn’t much grass (important when your dog needs to do his business) Sunsets are spectacular! Have a cocktail at The Doctors Office and a burger at Skinny’s

Sweet house with Amazing views!

Seaside Sanctuary a Great place. You can see the gulf from the kitchen, living room, and deck. This is the upper unit and have to access by way of stairs which was no problem for us. A little warm in the main bedroom but it has a great ceiling fan and the bed was comfortable! It was unusually warm for the beginning of May though. Stephanie provided everything we needed. We Didn't need to purchase garbage bags, paper towels, TP. Etc. Check in/check out was super easy. We love AMI and this part of it especially. This has been my favorite of the 4 places we have rented. Loved being that close to the beach. I was a little nervous of doing a duplex but there were no issues with that. The people who stay and rent are respectful of one another. The only complaint is the amount of young people at the beach. Thongs, endless selfies, and loud music is not what this beach has been about in the past. Week days were quieter than weekends thankfully. If you sit closer to the water you only hear waves and see turqoise waters, that was the solution to that. This was a fantastic property and location. Will be back next year! We walked to Bean Point most mornings and were gifted with amazing sunrises, and great wildlife. Saw a Bald eagle on the beach, a few dolphin, many manatees, and a Manta Ray that completely breached the water. Loved watching the pelican's, sand pipers, and the Osprey that nests close by. Rod and Reel has a great breakfast and we love Hurrican Hanks for dinner.
