99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:

We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

Parking

Located directly off W Huron Street, this unit’s space in our driveway fits two cars in tandem. Please park on the left-hand side of the driveway, as the right-hand side is for the upper level unit. We have installed signage for clarification but please feel free to message us with any questions!

There is no street parking on W Huron Street. If you have more than two cars and need extra parking, street parking is available on Crest Ave, which is the street south of and perpendicular to W Huron Street.

The unit is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door. Enter the unique code we'll provide you the week before your stay begins, and press the CHECK to unlock.

We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!

Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!

Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:

- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

We booked this property for a weekend getaway. The outside of the house is rundown and needs repair. The house has been updated on the inside, but is old and smells musty. On the plus side, it is very clean. The bathroom is quite small with nowhere to place toiletries or hang towels with a small side sink. The pictures on the website make the house appear lighter and brighter than it actually is. When booking this property, know that the bedroom on “lower level” translates to BASEMENT with steep stairs and only the one small bathroom on the main floor. The main level bedroom does not have a closet. During our stay there were guests above us and we could hear them walking. They had a young toddler with them who we could hear running around and were awoken by his crying at 4.30 in the morning. Know that the ceiling is thin and if you have guests above, you will HEAR them. Although the kitchen was well-stocked with basic cooking supplies, there was no salt/pepper, basic spices or cooking spray. We did buy some and left for future guests. We only had 1 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. Basic supplies like these would have been appreciated. The beds were comfortable. Would not recommend for families or if you have issues sleeping in a basement.
