Cosy Fisherman’s Cottage by the Beach & Lighthouse

  • Welcome to Anglesey, mother of Wales. On the jewel of her crown - the northernmost tip - lies Llanfoi, an ancient fisherman’s cottage, just a few minutes walk from the beach at Eilian Bay.

    Light the wood stove and get cosy. Relax and enjoy the warmth of the sunroom. What a welcome!

    The jaw-dropping coastal footpath is easily accessible from the cottage. It goes all the way around Anglesey - about 130 miles!

    A warm welcome with a pie and a pint is 20 minutes walk away at the Adelphi pub. The supermarket and shops are 5 minutes in the car.

We had a lovely family stay at Fisherman's Cottage. It’s a perfect place for a relaxing getaway, with everything you need to feel at home. The kitchen is really well equipped, which made cooking easy and enjoyable.At night, you can truly unwind - the peaceful darkness outside helps you sleep so well. It's wonderfully quiet.The cottage is also a great base for exploring Anglesey. There are plenty of little adventures waiting just outside the door!Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and cosy break.

At first we had a problem with getting into the property as we got wrong code for the key box. I'd advise everyone to check that with owners prior to arrival. Also the key box should be replaced as it's old and not easy to use. Cottage is very well equipped with dishwasher, washer and dryer. Very comfy beds with extra pillows and blankets. Location is fantastic with views over the fields, peace and quiet. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor but the third one is accessible through very steep and narrow stairs, not suitable for everyone to climb onto. Communication with the owner was great. I'd definitely recommend for friends. Hope to come back in the future.

Our initial experience was not the best. Once inside the property via the back door (broken key box) we were unable to open the front door due to it sticking. From the outside we had to kick the door quite violently in order to force it open. The outside area of the property was dirty, filled with dead leaves that had obviously been there for a long time, weeds and overgrown foliage. A dirty yard brush surrounded by debris and leaves outside the door of the sunroom. A tired and uncared for area in all.
