Island View Escape in Historic Amherstburg !!

Welcome to Island View in Amherstburg, a beautifully fully furnished private home with many extra touches to make your stay more comfortable. Enjoy a glass of wine or morning coffee on our deck while you watch the boats pass. A three minute walk to local restaurants and shops in downtown Amherstburg. This newly renovated home features 3 bedrooms (two main floor and one lower), two full bathrooms and an open concept kitchen and living area all fully stocked with everything you will need.
The space
A completely renovated house with two bedrooms on the main floor, as well as a fully stocked kitchen, furnished living room, and a spacious bathroom. The lower level includes another bedroom, family room , bathroom and a laundry room which includes a washer and dryer. All of the bathrooms are stocked with towels, wash cloths, soap, and any other essential toiletry you may need. There is a wine fridge as well as a coffee maker stocked for hot drinks on the front deck to make your stay more enjoyable.
Guest access
There are many local restaurants within a mintues walk from our location. Salty Dog, Pepper Cat, and Artisian Grill are just a few restaurants Amherstburg has to offer. There are many coffee shops and ice cream parlours for everyone to enjoy. On site parking for up to five cars.
Other things to note
Many local wineries to explore throughout your stay for example Muscedre winery , coopers hawk , view point and oxley are just a few to enjoy .
Small, well behaved, dogs under 15lbs only please. Let us know in advance if you are bringing your dog.

Great place to stay for the weekend. Only wish the weather would have co-operated for porch sitting & exploring your cute little town. Kitchen was well stocked. My 92 year old mother-in-law was quite impressed by the cute dishes/cups. Everything we needed. Everyone is already talking about maybe coming back this summer, if you'll have us. THANK YOU.

Michelle has done a wonderful job at 551 Dalhousie street. Very welcoming, comfortable and the river view is great. The place was spotless and Michelle was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I would be happy to stay here again and would certainly give it a positive review!

The property itself is beautiful! Very well maintained and comfortable. Everything was exactly where you would expect it to be - the kitchen was so well equipped and even had a cheese grater when we needed one! Michelle was very friendly and accomodating. We really enjoyed our visit and hope to be back again!

Beautiful stay in Amherstburg

We chose this place due to the location overlooking the river and close to downtown and family we were visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and loved the front porch and its views of the river, so nice to enjoy a morning coffee and wine at night! Everything about this place is great! The beds were comfortable, bathrooms very nice and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need. The host was easy to get in touch with if we had any questions. Highly recommend this beautiful little find in Amherstburg!

Girls get away weekend

Our stay here was wonderful. Michelle was a pleasure to work with, booking was a smooth process and Michelle responded quickly to our messages and requests. Everything was perfect. Quiet safe neighbourhood, with a beautiful view of the river. The inside of the house was clean and inviting. It easily accommodated the 5 of us.

Paradise Found

What a wonderful experience this 5 day excursion turned out to be! The house has been tastefully renovated, with every attention to detail to make visitors feel pampered. A fully stocked kitchen makes meal preparation easy, or it's a 5 minute drive to the many dining choices in the downtown core. Our hosts even went out of their way to bring us coffee and muffins when a brief power outage occurred! The front deck with a water view is spacious and comfortable seating areas are provided as well. We watched our pup playing in the backyard while we sat on the back deck, so our "furbaby" had a vacation as well. We will definitely be returning to this "Paradise Found"
