The most disturbing part of the entire stay was checking in. Instead of a human being, there was a kiosk with a large video screen and the clerk appeared on the screen and directed us through the check-in process. They kept saying things like, "This is standard practice in modern hotels," but I have stayed in many hotels and never had a virtual person check me in. There was also an attendant on duty, but he didn't do the check-in.
However, after we went to our room and we're getting settled, he opened our door without knocking to see if anyone was in the room. When I booked my room online, I requested an accessible room because it was a small hotel and would not have an elevator. I did not want to climb steps with luggage because of mobility issues.
The breakfast provided was bare bones and minimal but edible. The room itself was fine and the bed was comfortable. The AC worked well, and we did not try the television. The bathroom was accessible for a wheelchair, however the mirror was not properly affixed to the wall and hanging at an angle, and if I had been in a wheelchair I would not have been able to see myself.
Frankly, I find it disingenuous to advertise this as a "by Wyndham" property. It's a Days Inn.
