  • Te encantará este apartamento de 1 dormitorio decorado con buen gusto (ubicado en la planta baja de la casa, hay un apartamento por piso). Nos hemos tomado mucho tiempo en restaurar esta casa del siglo XVIII, combinando estilos antiguos y nuevos para (lo que creemos que es) un resultado de buen gusto. Hemos prestado especial atención a la comodidad de nuestros huéspedes al elegir elementos tan esenciales como las camas y los muebles.

    Ubicado en una zona tranquila de la calle principal peatonal (rue Nationale). A poca distancia de todo lo que hace de Amboise una excelente ciudad de vacaciones.
    - Lugares históricos: iglesia de St. Denis del siglo XIII, castillo real de Amboise, hogar de François 1er y otros reyes de Francia, Clos Lucé, última residencia de Leonardo da Vinci y calles históricas del centro histórico.

    - Restaurantes gourmet, excelente mercado semanal al aire libre a orillas del Loira, con especialidades locales: quesos, vinos, carnes y productos locales..

    - Panadería, quiosco, supermercado (abierto de 7 a.m. a 10 p.m.) Mont-Sat, delicatessen, boutiques.

    Durante los meses de verano, la ciudad es una colmena de actividad: mercados nocturnos al aire libre, artistas callejeros, exposiciones de artistas locales, piscina al aire libre en la cercana Ile d'or.

    Un corto viaje lo llevará a: el castillo de Chenonceau, el castillo de Chambord (todos los castillos principales del valle del Loira).

Excellent place to stay to explore the Dordogne valley. Anne and Gauthier's place is very cute, right in the middle of old town Sarlat- you just had to step out for the weekly markets. Gauthier met us for check in and explained everything that was around, including some great food recommendations. There was a free parking lot about 10 mins walk away. The house itself was lovely- had all the right amenities, kitchenette, washing machine, coffee. It was very spacious and comfortable. We would stay there again,

Amboise dream stay

Wonderful place with everything you need and a great host. I would highly recommend staying here and the location on the Rue national could not be more perfect as far as access to all of the sights and restaurants. It was a magical French experience.

Highly recommended apartment in the center of town

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is beautifully decorated and is in excellent condition. The location for our purposes was ideal. The property manager was very helpful and remained in touch during our entire visit.

Perfect location in a beautiful town. Pascale couldn’t have been more helpful as we experienced train cancellations upon departure. Highly recommend.

Great apartment, perfect host

This is a wonderful apartment in the centre of Amboise but also at the quiet end of town. The flat had everything we needed and is very well equipped, perfect for two. Pascale is a thoughtful and responsive host and the recent addition of the parking space was an added bonus. We were sad to leave this little gem.

Pascale was an amazing host. Very welcoming and attentive. She gave great suggestions as to restaurants and places to visit. The apartment was also amazing. It is on a pedestrian street that is filled with restaurants and shops. Very well appointed and clean. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Amboise. The location is an easy walk to the Royal Amboise Chateay. Leonardo Davinci’s home and the incredible market on Sundays. The office of Tourism is only 1.5 blocks away and is where you will meet your tour guides for all of your Loire Valley explorations

La Maison des Cochers

Nous avons ‘coché’ la bonne case pour cet appartement en le choisissant pour notre séjour. Un accueil de Pascale des plus chaleureux en nous faisant une totale confiance. Appartement tout confort très bien situé et très propre à la déco originale comme j’aime. Je recommande sans hésiter comme pied à terre pour découvrir les Châteaux.. À bientôt pour un autre séjour ! Wonderful apartment, great location

Excellently appointed. Very convenient kitchen with a very useful collection of kitchen utensils and appliances. This made preparing meals from products bought at the local market a real pleasure. It was nice to have a coffee maker instead of a machine with pods ( which never makes coffee to one's taste!). Counter space in the bathroom was ample which is great for extended stays. We would be happy to stay here again.

A lovely stay in the Loire

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pascale's lovely apartment. The description online was exactly what we found upon entering. Pascale was so helpful in finding us parking and providing a fan since the weather had turned very warm. The location is perfect. It's on the quiet end of Rue Nationale, the pedestrian street loaded with shops and restaurants and the Sunday market was just a block away. We cooked several meals at the apartment and loved having the ability to do some launcry. We would welcome another opportunity to stay there.

Our Time in Amboise

We spent almost a week at La Maison des Cochers and could not have been happier with our choice. Not only is the first-floor apartment convenient to reach - no schlepping of luggage up and down stairs -, it is also situated on a mostly pedestrian street with easy access to the castle, shops and restaurants. The apartment itself is a mixture of antique furniture and modern appliances, integrated with whimsical pictures. The decor points to an artistic owner, and that owner, Pascale, proved to be an excellent hostess. Not only did she pick us up at the station on learning that we would arrive by train, she welcomed us with a bottle of regional wine and was always reachable in case we needed something. Thank you so much, Pascale. P.S. For aficionados of French baguette for breakfast, there is a bakery a few steps across the street.

Amazing and practical.

Perfect place to stay a few days. Has all the necessary basic stuff, very clean, close to free parking and close to restaurants, boutiques and Le Château. Highly recommended.

A beautiful apartment, right in the heart of Amboise. There's a fabulous bakery across the road; restaurants on your doorstep and you are surrounded by history and amazing views. Pascal was excellent in responding to any queries we had and even picked us up from the train station. Thank you Pacal for a wonderful stay.

Five Stars are Not Enough!!

We cannot recommend this property highly enough. It is perfectly located on the main pedestrian street in the heart of Amboise and has everything one could need in addition to being esquistely designed and squeaky clean. Bed was very comfortable. The property owner Pascale is an absolute sweetheart!! She even picked us up at the train station and left us a bottle of Vouvray in the fridge. We felt so warmly welcomed and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Pascale!!

Tout est fait pour que l'on ai que nos vacances à profiter ! Avec le petit plus de l'apéro offert à l'arrivée et une déco rigolote. Pascale est une hôte charmante et attentionnée, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Great little city, appartement and hostess !

Amboise is a lovely little city in the middle of the Loire valley. It was a pleasure dealing with Pascale; through the entire “process” she was always available and communications were fast and efficient. The appartement is located on the city’s main pedestrian street. Free parking always available nearby. The appartement is well equipped for a great stay. It was a 10 out of 10 !! Would highly recommend dealing with Pascale and staying at this property ! Merci Pascale pour avoir fait notre séjour à Amboise merveilleux!
