Paradise in the Lake District.

• ‘Loughrigg’ An outside staircase leads to Flat 11 on the left. It is our 'Much-loved family bolt-hole' which we hope you will find to be a home from home.
Parking is allocated to specific bays, ours is 11 in the main carpark, 20 metres up the road and in the far left corner. You may unload in the space next to the yew tree but please do not leave your car there for any length of time. The bays are small and modern cars are often large so please be mindful of others.
• The entrance hall leads to an open-plan Living area with a picture window overlooking private grounds.
• The Living area has 2 comfy sofas, a Smart TV for Netflix, YouTube,
BBC iPlayer etc. There is a DVD player and a small selection of DVD's and books, Guidebooks and OS walking maps. There is a box of children’s games.
• Private Balcony with a table and 2 chairs which you can access from the living room or master bedroom. 2 folding chairs are also available.
• Free unlimited Wifi.
• The Kitchen area is fully fitted with kettle, toaster, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is an electric oven with induction hob and a microwave. A food processor and cooking equipment is stored in cupboards. The round dining table has 4 matching chairs.
• The master bedroom has a king size bed, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets. A patio door leads to the Balcony.
• The second bedroom has twin beds. It also has a wardrobe and chest of drawers.
• The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, washbasin and WC and a heated towel rail.
• Wall heaters are fitted in all rooms but the Night Storage heaters in the Hall and Living area will keep you warm.
• The leisure Centre has a small swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, open from March to second weekend in November. Also available are washing machines, tumble driers, and a table tennis table.

The property was perfect for our 4 night stay. Sitting on the balcony in the afternoon sunshine watching the birds and, on two occasions red squirrels, was wonderful.plenty of walks from the door, Loughrigg Tarn, Elterwater( lovely food in Britannia Inn) and Cathedral cave(steep in parts but wonderful views). The only thing to be mindful is that the site has some steepish banks. The property has lots of books, cds and board games in case weather isn’t very good. All in all a very nice,cosy well equipped property in wonderful location.

What a great find .tree top apartment. Loved the apartment very comfortable. The area may seem out in the sticks but just at the bottom of the hill if you turn right from the estate is a trusty bus service 516 taking uou to ambleside where the bus services there can take you all round and opentop buses.Just by the bus stop iin skelwith is a lovely pub with really good food .then up the other road to your right from the bus stop is a great cafe with yummy cakes .a walk up from there is skelwith force with a moderate walk to nearby villages with amazing views and great food serving ..so all in all really good place to stay and enjoy the views and sample good lake district hospitality.

Walkers’ paradise

A different day a different walk straight from the door. Just what we wanted! Beauty all around, on the doorstep. Swim in a gorgeous tarn 10 mins walk away. And when you need some R & R there’s a well equipped kitchen and a comfy bed in v tranquil setting, listening to the resident owl. Thank so much!

Another excellent stay

Lovely stay despite the weather. Our second stay here and it's always good to know you have the pool as a back up plan to entertain the children if the weather is poor. Great walks from the front door. Comfy beds. Idyllic location.

Golden oldy lady walkers

A group of walking friends who really enjoyed a fabulous stay at this clean, comfortable, warm and very well equipped apartment. Lovely peaceful location with great views from the lounge and bedroom/balcony. Struggled a little to find the road up to it on first arrival, was fine thereafter. Made use of the pool/jacuzzi & sauna facilities too, which although small, certainly helped ease the muscles after a days walking. Recommend a stay here.

Perfect Lakeland base

Overall lovely stay, with great weather. Communication and check in great. Property a little dated and tired but we were expecting that from the listing pictures. 4/5 for cleanliness purely as dirty baking trays in oven on arrival, otherwise no issues. Location at Neaum Crag lovely and pool a bonus. Would stay again. Thankyou.

Nice break after a long winter

A very well-appointed, cosy and comfortable apartment. The kitchen is very well-equipped and has everything you could need. Only problem was that we couldn't get the TV to work - but that must have been our inability!The Neaum Crag estate is quiet and pleasant and it was easy to walk our dog first thing in the morning. It is also well-situated for many good Lakeland walks. The Wainwright Arms at Chapel Stile is within easy reach and is a very friendly and welcoming pub.

Outstanding

Exceptional, homely accommodation situated in a beautiful location with access to a swimming pool and sauna too. We were very fortunate to come across the apartment. Within 10 minutes walk from the Talbot Inn and 3 mile drive from Ambleside there are also some enjoyable nearby walks too.

Location and Facilities

Apartment located in lovely location and pleasant pool facilities on site, site nice and quiet too. Apartment ok but quite dated and in need of redecoration, new curtains etc. Cleaning was ok but kitchen cupboards and lounge could have been cleaner behind TV by patio doors was filthy as was the skirtings in kitchen. There were so many pots etc in the kitchen cupboards there was no where to put any food and a couple smelt a bit off. We also had an issue with the heating which wasn't available when we arrived and we did need it as the property was cold and we were travelling with elderly parents. As it was storage heaters we couldn't control them apart from the lounge so ended up putting fan heater on in bathroom and leaving door open which wasn't ideal. The storage heaters then kicked in after 36 hours but weren't very controllable. Weather wasn't too bad for our stay so we were able to get out and about and the apartment was in a good location.

Super stay again

Lovely clean, cosy property in an excellent location. Site was quieter than on previous visits which allowed us to get time in the small pool. Accommodation had everything needed (except a pan suitable for making pancakes!); dishwasher and small washing machine a bonus. Communication with the owners smooth and cordial. Check-in easy. Beware of the steps up to the front door - they can be slippery in wet weather.
