Was given a room that had not been visited by housekeeping (beds unmade, empty bottles and trash on table, used towels on floor). When I visited the front desk to notify, there was no apology or explanation given before I was provided with a new room and door code (no keycards). Upon being provided this new door code, I was told to wait 30 seconds and try again if the code didn’t work, a warning that I had not been given upon checking in to the first room, perhaps indicating that the staff was aware of a problem with the keypad for this second room. Door code then did not work for the new room and also I could see through the blinds that this second room had also not been visited by housekeeping. At that point, I returned to the front desk, placed my card with door code on the desk, then requested that I be issued a refund. Proximity of property to Quarter Horse museum and offices seems convenient as well as fun decor and a lively bar/dance club on the property, so I had been excited to stay here before this unfortunate situation occurred with my room.
