Practicality, not luxury—Extend-A-Suites is a comfortable place to stay. Due to renovations, it has become a smaller, quieter community, making it a peaceful place to lay your head for the night or even call home for a time.
The non-smoking facility is located just off I-40 between Western and Paramount, near restaurants from sit-down dining to fast food, with a convenience store within walking distance. Despite the ongoing renovations, noise has never been bothersome. Parking is ample, rooms are a good size, and beds are plush and comfortable with clean linens. The TV offers basic cable but can easily connect to streaming devices. Bathrooms have a detached sink area, and rooms include basic amenities like soap, shampoo, conditioner, and towels.
The long-time staff is small but great, and the front desk is available for most of the 24 hours. There’s currently no breakfast, but rooms have a full-size refrigerator and microwave for your needs, and the ice machine has never been out of order.
I especially appreciate the building’s security: the normally keyed entry doors lock at night making them inaccessible, and room entrances are interior rather than exterior.
My son and I have stayed here many times over the years—from full capacity to a smaller guest count—and we’ve always enjoyed our time here. It’s not a luxury hotel, but for a quiet extended stay it’s been comfortable and reliable for us. Definitely recommend.
