Professionally managed by North East Escapes, The Bothy at Mount Pleasant is a charming single-storey cottage nestled in a beautiful setting with almost panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. Perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful Northumberland Coast, Northumberland National Park, and historic landmarks, this cosy retreat comfortably sleeps up to two guests, making it an ideal choice for couples.

Living & Dining Area – Double sofa, sofa chair, coffee table, lamp, wood stove, TV, and dining table with two chairs. French doors leading onto the patio.
Kitchen Area – Sink, electric hob and induction stove, extractor fan, microwave, kettle, and essential kitchen utensils.
Bedroom 1 – Double bed, bedside table, TV, dressing unit with mirror; and en-suite with shower, washbasin, toilet, and mirror.

Patio and Garden – French double doors open onto a patio with a bistro set. At the side of the property, there is a garden with a garden chair.
Parking – Private parking for one car in front of the cottage.

Set just a 0.2-mile stroll independent shops, and seaside pubs in Alnmouth village, The Bothy is an ideal base to explore the Northumberland Coast, Alnwick Castle, and the wider Northumberland countryside.

There discover artisan shops, a village post office with a cash point, award-winning cafés, and characterful pubs to suit most tastes, it’s an ideal setting for a relaxing stay.

Alnmouth is steeped in maritime history, with the nearby Alnmouth Beach offering a fascinating glimpse into the village’s past as a bustling port and access to the most glorious coastline. Just 5 miles north lies Alnwick, a historic market town home to Alnwick Castle, a filming location for Harry Potter, and the enchanting Alnwick Garden.

The surrounding Northumberland Coast is perfect for seaside strolls, while Alnmouth Bay, a haven for birdwatchers, can be explored right from the village. Access is easy via the A1, just 5 to 10 minutes’ drive from Alnwick, or via Alnmouth Station on the East Coast mainline, providing connections to Edinburgh to the north or Morpeth, Newcastle and beyond to the south. We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage! The bed, pillows, and comforter were incredibly comfortable, making for restful nights. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals, which we really appreciated. The hosts were lovely and attentive, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. The view was absolutely amazing—sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking—and the easy walk to the village made exploring so convenient. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!
