"This was our first visit to see what it was like to give us future options and to compare it with Doxford Hall where we usually stay for short breaks.
We are sorry to give only 4 stars for this particular stay, the property and room quality were both excellent as were the staff we interacted with but the stay was let down by a problem with shortage of kitchen staff due to illness.
This resulted in a reduced dinner menu from which my Wife could not select something she really liked (ending up...

The room was very tired, soft furnishing were ok but paint and decor was very old as was the bathroom.
Food at the linden was adequate but at London prices. We only ate there once."

"The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds"

"I loved this opportunity to stay in Ingram, at the East entrance to the Northumberland National Park. This B&B is luxurious, quiet and lovely, with great food and atmosphere. There is easy access to beautiful walks in and above the Breamish Valley.
I would definitely stay here again."

"The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice & you just helped yourself. The dining room was large, open plan & well decorated. The room was a good size & clean, lots of extras such as tea/coffee,biscuits & toiletries for guest use. The staff were friendly & helpful.
Unfortunately our room faced the road in front of the hotel & we didn't get a good night's sleep due to boy racers tearing back & forth up the road into the early hours. In addition to this there were groups of lads & lasses...

"This is a little gem of an inn. The drive along the way is picturesque and Otterburn itself is darling. Our host for the Old Post Office was very accommodating. We arrived after the normal check-in time and she was very welcoming. Our room was immaculate and our shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, including our coffees (flat white and vanilla latte). We also enjoyed the back patio area with plenty of seating. Definitely recommend this inn!"

"This was not a B&B as advertised. This was a grim, empty beach house where the owner, who lived an hour away, remotely answered the doorbell to tell guest how to find their keys. The only good thing to say about it was that the owner refunded my money promptly when I frantically was able to find proper accommodations."
