Buffalo County Log Cabin w Guesthouse and pool

Secluded Buffalo County log home and guesthouse. "The Shack" has one bathroom, a master bedroom with a queen bed, large loft consisting of 4 custom built twin beds, and guesthouse also with a queen bed. Huge wrap around deck, gorgeous fireplace, incredible views, heated swimming pool and outdoor bar. The inside even has an indoor slide for the kids!

The property is over 75 acres with incredible hiking trails throughout. Make the trek to the top of the bluff and witness breathtaking views of the river and valleys around. A great treehouse for the kids is also on site.

Only one mile from the river and a located between Alma and Nelson.

Beautiful Property--Highly Recommend!

Our group of eight friends had an incredible stay at this VRBO property in Alma, Wisconsin. Nestled in a secluded spot with no nearby neighbors, it offered the ultimate retreat into nature. The expansive land, abundant wildlife, and serene surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for our getaway. The property itself was ideal for our group. We particularly loved the wrap-around deck and porch, which gave us ample space to relax and enjoy the stunning views. The pool was a huge hit, offering a refreshing escape during the day, while the firepit was perfect for cozy evenings under the stars. Tim, the host, was fantastic. He was quick to respond to any questions we had and provided helpful tips before our arrival, which made our stay smooth and enjoyable. Overall, this VRBO was everything we hoped for and more. It was a perfect blend of comfort and seclusion, allowing us to unwind and enjoy each other’s company in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature!

Amazing

Our family enjoyed everything about this property. We completely enjoyed the pool, the scenery, the hiking, the sleeping accommodations, the decor, the view, the quiet and quality time we had together. I should mention that the kids loved the slide as well. It was very peaceful and relaxing for our family of six. The property owners were readily available and very helpful. We highly recommend this rental. Thank you.

Stayed with a group of friends and it was such a positive experience. Loved the secluded location and we all thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Communication from the host was clear and thorough, and we had no complaints regarding the condition and amenities of the property. All agreed we would likely book here again!

Nice place!

Outside of little quirks here and there, very nice place to stay and we have no complaints! The only things to be aware of is that the pool is about waist deep and it can be a bit of a hike from where you park to the house if you have heavy bags. Overall a clean and nice place! You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful Property

The kids couldn’t wait to stay at a home with an indoor slide and it did not disappoint. The slide kept them entertained for hours every day and the property was so fun to explore. We’ll be back in the Summer months to try out the pool!

The Last Flamingo

We had a great time at the shack! They supplied everything we needed and view was stunning! We comfortably slept 8. One bathroom was a struggle with 8 women but it was so worth it with all the other benefits this place offered. We took a short hike around the property but we had a hot weekend so we soaked up the sun and lounged in the pool most of the time!

Relaxing & Beautiful Getaway!

Beautiful home in the bluffs with an outdoor pool; close enough to small towns but off the beaten path. Beds were comfortable; bathroom was stocked, and the kitchen had everything we needed! Perfect getaway with friends spent by the pool relaxing and sitting by the campfire. The property manager, Tim, is phenomenal! He was very responsive and very timely to any questions I had. He went out of his way to make sure that we had an enjoyable time for my birthday! Wood for the fire was fully stocked and the grill was in operating order! I would definitely return again! Thank you for everything Tim!! So appreciated!!

Lots of deer

Beautiful house with amazing views. It was exactly what they said it was. Our kids used the indoor slide hundreds of times. The pool was their favorite but the slide was a close second. We saw around 15 deer on the property in the 3 days we stayed on the property.

Quiet Getaway

This property is located in the gorgeous rolling hills of Wisconsin. There were plenty of fun things to do in the surrounding areas, but the property is so beautiful we didn't want to leave. The house had everything we needed with plenty of space to accommodate our large group. We will be back!

Awesome location and stay!

We had a wonderful time here! There was plenty of room for two kids and 4 adults. The kids LOVED the indoor slide and the pool. I was able to run an online workshop while sitting at the dining table and enjoying the views. The hosts were super communicative and responsive. We look forward to coming back again!

Wonderful Girls Weekend Retreat

This property was just what a group of 5 women needed. There was space to spread out & truly enjoy ourselves. The pool was awesome - we spent the entire day in there & then drove in & enjoyed the town(s) around us. The place is VERY secluded. Don't be scared by the drive in - it's worth the little adventure!! The beds were so comfortable - way better than any hotel I've ever stayed. Everything about this stay was wonderful - space, beds, location, pool, outdoor area, check in - the owner was so responsive and great! If you need a weekend away - with the family, couples or ladies/guys - stay here - it's AWESOME!
