"This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy. The apartment was spacious with a full kitchen. We cooked dinner and Ida had even left us a wee...

"We stayed in this house as a last minute pivot when we couldn’t get to the islands because of a storm. It turned out better than we could have anticipated! Communication with host was great, check in was easy, everything was spotless and comfortable. We loved the views out of the front window and we even saw dolphins just outside. Great stay!"

"Fantastic and unique property. Great views from the jacuzzi! We saw seals and dolphins in the bay, and countless different birds. Just beautiful. We had a kayak around the bay using the kayaks on site. Absolutely loved it. "

So, if you wanna go back to the time when people spent their holidays in style, this is for you! 4 storey house with table tennis, snooker and dart in the basement, drawing room, dinner hall (the stag room) and kitchen on ground floor, then 2 storeys with bedrooms for 20 people. "Moriston Cottage is a delightful house right in the middle of Lochcarron, a very lovely small village on the water. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the house is well furnished and provisioned with all required for an enjoyable stay. Communication with property management was at all times fast and very helpful. We would recommend this property and the location very highly. "

"Wenn man das Haus betritt, stellt man zunächst fest, dass die Räumlichkeiten schon deutlich in die Jahre gekommen sind. Bis auf die Bäder wurde hier lange nicht mehr renoviert. Wenn man dann allerdings in die erste Etage kommt und die grandiose Aussicht durch die riesige Panoramascheibe des Wohnzimmers genießen kann, dann sind die Zimmer schnell nebensächlich. Die Kinder haben es sehr genossen, den ganzen Tag in der kleinen Bucht direkt am Wasser zu spielen und jede Menge Jakobsmuscheln...

"We had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay. The property is well equipped, private and with great views of the sunset. Plentiful bird life was also an attraction. Self-catering was very easy with the well-stocked store nearby, as well as larger options not far away in Gairloch. And the area is beautiful - lots to see and amazing views across sea, lochs and mountains. Really excellent. "
