Serena soledad cabaña de montaña en Allenspark

Ubicada cerca de la entrada Wild Basin al Parque Nacional Rocky Mountain y del sendero Long's Peak, esta cabaña es ideal para cualquier persona que busque una base para practicar senderismo, montar a caballo, escalar, cazar o simplemente descansar y mirar las estrellas.

El primer piso incluye una cocina combinada, comedor y sala de estar, así como dos dormitorios y baño. Arriba hay un gran loft con vistas a la sala de estar que la mayoría de los huéspedes usan como dormitorio principal debido a sus grandes ventanales, la cama king size y sus impresionantes vistas del monte. La casa se encuentra en un acre y medio lote. Está adyacente a Ponderosa Lodge (Propiedad # 803298), que a menudo alquilamos en tándem (está a unos 100 metros cuesta abajo) y al que se puede acceder por un camino. Muchas familias han alquilado ambas casas juntas para reuniones familiares y bodas.

Compramos la casa en 2001, aunque Susie esperaba comprarla desde que pisó por primera vez en 1967, cuando sus padres llevaron a la familia al encuentro con el constructor antes de comprar la casa cuesta abajo.

Siempre ha habido algo muy especial en esta cabaña. Se siente aislado sin dejar de estar cerca de las comodidades. Es fácil conducir 15 minutos a Estes, 45 minutos a Boulder, y 5 minutos a la floreciente metrópolis de Allenspark (¡población 250!). El Meeker Park Lodge Livery está a pocos pasos y en verano el albergue tiene una pequeña tienda de comestibles para artículos de última hora.

Estamos rodeados por el Parque Nacional Rocky Mountain y el Bosque Nacional Roosevelt, por lo que hay caminatas en casi todas las direcciones, desde senderos fáciles hasta el comienzo del sendero para uno de los magníficos 14'ers de Colorado. El comienzo del sendero Long's Peak es solo un breve recorrido.

La familia de Susie comenzó a venir a esta área en 1955 y han disfrutado de las maravillas de esta área en cada temporada. La abundancia de vida silvestre (alces, alces, ciervos mula, linces, halcones, búhos, ardillas, ardillas, ¡los he visto a todos!) Se puede disfrutar desde la terraza.

The location was great to be near Estes Park but not in it. It is a small A frame cabin but we enjoyed it. There were 4 beds (1 king, 1 queen and bunk beds). It was a weekend for my husband and I's anniversary and our middle to turn 5. Our youngest (just turned 1) slept with us in the loft where the king bed was which made me a little nervous as it's a steep staircase and the furniture downstairs is all wooden but she did ok bumped her head a few times but was fine. I believe they had a pack n play but I didn't lug it up the stairs. Kitchen was small but easy to find everything. Would stay again.

The cabin is a charming place, beautifully appointed. It had everything we needed. The in house washer and dryer worked beautifully and was very convenient. Because of our ages we didn’t take advantage of the lovely loft bedroom (steep stairs). Both the owner and appointed manager were very quick and gracious to respond to any question we had. Very helpful. Two things kept us from rating it as excellent. The front deck had limited shade during parts of the day; and the queen bed on the first floor where we slept could be a little more comfortable. It may be ready for a new mattress.

Perfect

The property is aptly named Serene Solitude Cabin. It featured a lovely dining room table where our family could play games in the evening. We enjoyed drinking coffee and making plans on the deck in the mornings. My favorite part was waking up and watching the sunrise over the mountains from bed.

Awesome home & location to enjoy the outdoors

We loved the outdoor deck to relax and enjoy the woods and wild turkeys (who knew they could fly). Hiking was a short drive to many different trails inside and outside Rocky Mountain National Park. Loft bedroom skylights were fantastic to look at the stars late at night.

Great Cabin and Location

We have stayed in quite a few VRBO properties and this one is by far one of the best. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, dishes, and mixing bowls. The front deck was very quiet and offered some good views. The property was close to the national park and several trailheads, along with just a short drive to Estes Park. I highly recommend this property is you are planning a trip to the area! The Longs Peak trail was astounding up to Chasm Lake! If we decide to visit the area again(this was our 3rd time), we will try to stay here again if the cabin is open for our dates. Susan is a great host and answered an email very promptly.

The location and setting of the property were perfect! Stunning views of the mountains and close to Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park, but truly felt miles away from everything! House was clean and well appointed. Loved sitting out on the deck.

Get away from the hustle and bustle

If you’re looking for a location close to RMNP but still want solitude, this is the cabin for you. Both the Long’s Peak and Wild Basin entrances are 5 minutes away. Estes Park is only about 20 minutes and the drive is beautiful. The cabin is small and rustic, but has everything you need. It made our childhood dreams of living in an A-frame in the woods come true.. The view from the bed in the loft bedroom in the early morning and on starry nights is amazing! The stairs are steep. We took a little flashlight up with us to see in the middle of the night without waking the other person. The living room furniture definitely needs to be replaced, but everything was very clean. Our biggest con has nothing to do with the cabin itself, but rather the pet fee. We have a 20lb, non-shedding dog and at $50/night, this added up to a whopping $550 for our 11 night stay. We did not notice this when we booked and at that time it was too late to change. All in all, we loved the cabin and would stay there again if the pet fee was a little more reasonable.

The location of this property is in close proximity to many major trailheads, including wild basin. I would recommend this property for avid hikers who want an early jump on the day. The cabin itself could use some updates.

Perfect Cabin for Our Allenspark Vacation!

Solitude was just the cabin we needed for our stay in Allenspark. Our nine year old grandson loves Lego and the Lego A frame kit, so he appreciated the architecture of this cabin. These are what the adults appreciated so much: the comfortable and inviting decor (loved the wall quilts and local historic pictures); the well stocked kitchen (even though we did not do a lot of cooking, it was amazing how efficiently so much was in the kitchen); the fantastic views of Mt Meeker; the night views from the loft windows; eating meals on the deck; the comfortable seating for family gatherings in the living room; naps on the deck; how well the cabin was maintained and how clean everything was; the location for enjoying the local sites and Rocky Mt Nat Park. We have been coming to Allenspark since 1967 and Solitude cabin helped us make this another memorable and "historic" visit!

Wonderful place!

Perfect get a way

It was a perfect get a way with my family. The cabin was more than accommodating for all our needs. There was more than enough blankets to keep us warm and towels to keep us clean. Very beautiful cabin, I would recommend this place to anyone.

This cabin was the most incredible place to spend a week exploring RMNP and the surrounding areas! It was the ideal place to have your morning coffee on the porch, rest after a hike, make dinner and play games. We will be coming back for sure!
